Mangave ‘Bloodspot’ 🌿🔥
A Striking Hybrid with Bold Color & Easy Care
The Mangave ‘Bloodspot’ is a stunning hybrid succulent created by crossing Agave macroacantha with Manfreda maculosa, combining the best traits of both parents. The result is a compact, architectural plant with spiky, agave-like leaves dramatically marked with deep red to burgundy spots—a true standout in any collection.
With its manageable size and eye-catching coloration, Mangave ‘Bloodspot’ is perfect for containers, patios, and modern landscapes.
🌱 Key Features & Growing Habits
Unique Hybrid Beauty 🌿
Mangave ‘Bloodspot’ forms a tight rosette of pointed, agave-like leaves. The foliage develops striking red to burgundy spotting, especially with strong light, giving it dramatic contrast and year-round interest.
Compact & Versatile Size 📏
• Mature size: approx. 18" × 18"
• Our 5-gallon plants: average 8" × 8"
This manageable size makes it ideal for containers, courtyards, patios, and accent plantings.
Cold Tolerance ❄️
Can tolerate temperatures down to approximately 25°F. Prolonged freezing may cause damage, so protection is recommended during harsh winter conditions—especially in colder climates.
Easy Care & Drought Tolerant 💧
Thrives in well-draining soil with bright light and infrequent watering. Once established, it requires minimal maintenance, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced growers.
