Anthurium Super Massive Spider x Red Spider Ori
One-Leaf Seedlings (04/12/2025)
These seedlings come from a cross we hold exceptionally high expectations for — Super Massive Spider x Red Spider Ori. Both parents belong to the world-renowned Indonesian breeder Eddy Pranoto (@eddy_pranoto18), an anthurium specialist known for producing some of the finest dark & variegated hybrids with exceptional structural traits.
The mother plant, Super Massive Spider, features dramatic, highly defined spidery veins and a closed/fused sinus. The pollen donor, Red Spider Ori, carries similarly dark potential but with even longer-lasting red vein coloration, often retaining those tones well into maturity. Pairing these together gives us strong reason to expect dark emergents, fused sinus structure, and striking spidery veining — with at least some seedlings predicted to hold red colouration in the veins for a considerable period.
Seedlings currently are 1-leafers developing their second leaves, and have already begun showing promising colour.
