Lovely Rose Echeveria, botanically listed as Echeveria ‘Lovely Rose’, is a live succulent plant selected for its distinctive form and ornamental appeal. Natural color, size, form, and presentation may vary slightly with season, maturity, and growing conditions.

Morphological Characteristics

Echeveria ‘Lovely Rose’ is a charming and highly ornamental hybrid succulent in the Crassulaceae family. As its name suggests, it forms tightly packed rosettes that resemble delicate blooming roses, making it a favorite among succulent collectors and enthusiasts.

This cultivar features spiral-shaped rosettes of pale bluish-green to powdery pink leaves, with tones intensifying in cool temperatures or bright light. The leaves are thick, slightly curved, and spoon-shaped, forming a central cluster that mimics the appearance of a blooming flower. The plant typically reaches 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) in height, and rosettes can span 5–8 cm (2–3 inches) wide.

When mature, Lovely Rose may produce tall bloom stalks bearing small bell-shaped flowers, often pink or coral, which emerge in late spring or summer. However, the plant is mainly grown for its exquisite foliage rather than its blooms.

Growth Habits

Echeveria ‘Lovely Rose’ grows relatively slowly and tends to stay compact. It can form clusters of offsets at the base over time, gradually forming a small mound. Ideal for windowsills, shallow planters, and decorative arrangements, its sculptural form makes it a standout in mixed succulent compositions.

Maintenance Points

Lighting: Requires bright, indirect light to full sun. To maintain compact shape and vibrant colors, provide at least 4–6 hours of bright light daily. Indoors, a south-facing window is ideal.

Watering: Follow the “soak and dry” method. Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry. Reduce watering in winter. Avoid water sitting in the rosette to prevent rot.

Soil: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix. Adding extra pumice, perlite, or coarse sand is recommended for better aeration.

Temperature: Thrives between 18–27°C (65–80°F). Not frost-tolerant—protect from temperatures below 4°C (40°F).

Fertilization: Apply a diluted, balanced succulent fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). No need to fertilize in winter.

Potting: Choose pots with drainage holes. Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Best repotted in early spring.

Humidity: Prefers low humidity. Ensure good airflow and never mist the rosette directly.

Reproduction Method

1. Offsets (Pups):

Removal: Gently separate small rosettes growing at the base of the mother plant using clean, sharp tools.

Callusing: Allow offsets to callus in a shaded, dry place for 2–3 days.

Planting: Place in a well-draining soil mix and water lightly once established.

2. Leaf Cuttings (Less common due to compact rosette structure):

• Gently twist a full, healthy leaf from the base and allow it to callus for a few days before laying it on top of dry soil.

• Mist lightly until roots and new rosettes form.

3. Seeds:

• Rarely used for propagation. May be attempted if available, with standard succulent seed germination care.

Additional Tips

Pest Control: Watch for mealybugs and aphids, especially near the center of the rosette. Treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Disease Prevention: Avoid overwatering and never allow water to collect in the center of the plant.

Pruning: Remove any dried lower leaves or old bloom stalks to keep the plant tidy.

Display: Perfect for miniature garden displays, geometric planters, or as a “living rose” centerpiece.

Safety Note: Non-toxic and pet-safe. Handle gently to avoid damaging the rosette.

With its enchanting rose-like form and soft pastel colors, Echeveria ‘Lovely Rose’ is a living bouquet—ideal for gift arrangements, wedding decorations, or collectors seeking sculptural beauty in succulent form.

Clay-Like Texture, All-Day Control
When my go-to pomade was discontinued, I had to start the search all over again. After seeing several ads for Highland Glacial Hair Clay Pomade on social media, I decided to give it a try and ordered a tin. Right out of the can, you can tell this product is different. It’s very thick—almost like actual clay. At first, I wasn’t sure how it would work with my shorter hair. Pro tip: lightly wet your hands before working it in. Once you add a little moisture and warm it up between your fingers, it spreads much more easily and evenly. Applying it to damp hair makes styling smooth and straightforward. When first applied, the hold feels strong and structured. As the day goes on, it relaxes slightly but still keeps your hair in place without looking stiff or overly styled. I appreciate that it maintains shape while allowing a more natural finish as the hours pass. It is more expensive than some other options out there, but in my opinion, the performance justifies the price. For reference, my hair is short—slightly longer than a typical military regulation cut—so this review reflects how it performs on shorter styles. Overall, I’m happy with the switch and would recommend Highland Glacial Hair Clay Pomade to anyone looking for a strong, workable hold with a natural feel.

Good Stuff!
Can’t say enough good things about Highland’s Glacial Clay Pomade! Don’t let your initial reaction to its appearance fool you. This stuff is great! In the tin, it’s fairly thick, but I put less than a dime size amount on my fingertips, place it in my palm, and then rub my palms together and it quickly turns into a very delicate gel that I work into my hair. Unlike other products that leave your hair crispy or with a sheen, this dries invisibly and allows you to continue to adjust and manage your hair throughout the day without looking like you have anything in at all. It’s so easy to use and keeps my hair looking great all day. Smells great too! I feel good knowing that I’m putting something on my body that’s 100% natural even down to the aluminum tin, which is fully recyclable. I’ve been using this along with Highland’s shampoo “The Wash“ for a few months now and I swear my hair has never been softer. I’m a big fan of this company and their products!

It's a good pomade
This clay pomade is easiest to work with when the temperature is around 74F and higher. If the room temperature is around 66F, it takes longer to soften. I have thick, straight hair that sticks out if you cut it wrong. This pomade handles it pretty well. Once it's worked in, it holds the styling together. This stuff does not flatten the hair like regular pomade. Instead, it adds "body" or volume to your hair. There is no gloss. It settles in with no shine in your hair. And like most pomades, this Highland stuff also does a good job moistening dry hands. Another thing about this pomade is that it's hard to wash out, so if you keep it there, you can towel off and style your hair back in place without adding more fresh pomade. With delivery via Prime, it took 7 days, which isn't very prime. I could go to the drugstore and grab another brand of clay pomade in less than a day. This stuff is pricey, which I cannot figure out why. All-natural ingredients means they don't need to formulate compounds to make pomade, so it should cost less, but it's not. While it's a good product, I can't always afford the high price.

Long-Lasting Stick Deodorant – Fresh Scent, No White Marks, Gentle on Skin
Scent: Original Citrus+Eucalyptus, Size: 3.2 Ounce (Pack of 2)
This stick deodorant works great! It provides all-day odor protection, even during busy and active days. The scent is fresh but not overpowering, which I really like. It glides on smoothly, doesn’t leave white marks on clothes, and feels light on the skin. I also have sensitive skin and had no irritation at all. Overall, a reliable and effective deodorantI will definitely be buying it again!
