Embrace Effortless Greenery with the Classic Pothos 'Jade' – The Ultimate Starter Houseplant!

Discover the simple, yet stunning beauty of the **Pothos 'Jade'** (*Epipremnum aureum* 'Jade'). This popular vining plant is celebrated for its lush, deep green, heart-shaped foliage and its legendary resilience. While other Pothos varieties feature bright variegation, the 'Jade' stands out with its uniform, dark emerald color, offering a rich, deep-green cascading display that brings the tranquility of a tropical forest into your home. If you are a beginner, or simply seeking a reliable, fast-growing vine to decorate high shelves or mantels, the Pothos 'Jade' is your perfect, low-fuss companion.

Why the Pothos 'Jade' is the Beginner's Best Friend

🥇 **Unbeatable Hardiness**

Often topping lists of the hardest-to-kill plants, the 'Jade' Pothos tolerates a wide range of conditions, from bright light to lower light, making it truly adaptable.

🌿 **Lush, Classic Green**

Its uniform deep green colour provides a sophisticated, calming backdrop and beautifully highlights brighter decorative elements in your room.

💧 **Communicates Its Needs**

It tells you exactly when it needs a drink! The leaves begin to droop visibly when thirsty, giving you plenty of time to water before any damage occurs.

📈 **Fast-Growing Trailing Vine**

Its vines grow quickly, perfect for instantly creating a dramatic, cascading "waterfall" effect from hanging baskets, shelves, or furniture.

All the Details You Need to Know

The Story Behind This Plant

The **Pothos 'Jade'** is a cultivated variety of *Epipremnum aureum*, a climbing vine native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. In the wild, Pothos climbs trees using aerial roots, and its leaves can grow dramatically large. Its common name, Pothos, comes from the genus *Pothos*, which it was once classified under. The 'Jade' variety is selected specifically for its rich, solid green colouration (lacking the yellow of the 'Golden' Pothos), giving it a dark, lush, and classic tropical appearance that fits beautifully into any decor style.

How to Keep It Happy

The Pothos 'Jade' is famously easygoing, but a few simple rules will ensure rapid, lush growth:

  • **Light:** Tolerates low to medium light, but thrives and grows fastest in **bright, indirect light**. Avoid harsh, direct sun which can burn the leaves. Note: Non-variegated Pothos like the 'Jade' handle lower light better than their variegated cousins.
  • **Water:** Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. The leaves will start to slightly curl or droop when thirsty—this is your signal! Overwatering is the biggest risk.
  • **Humidity:** Tolerates average household humidity well, though it appreciates higher humidity (like most tropicals).
  • **Soil:** Use a standard, well-draining indoor potting mix.
  • **Temperature:** Maintain warm, stable temperatures, ideally between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Protect it from cold drafts.
  • **Feeding:** Feed once a month during the active growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer.
What to Do About Pests

Pothos are hardy against most pests, but it’s always wise to inspect regularly.

If you happen to spot any of these, check out our guides for quick help:

  • **Mealybugs:** Small, cotton-like spots in leaf axils or along stems. Our Guide
  • **Spider Mites:** Look for tiny webs and speckling on the underside of leaves, common in dry air. Our Guide
  • **Fungus Gnats:** Small flying insects usually a sign of soil staying too wet. Our Guide (Placeholder)

Men’s Casual Linen Blazer – Halloween Edition
Size: Small, Color: Light Blue, Size: Small, Color: Light Blue
Bought this for my 15-year-old daughter’s Halloween costume—she was the blue tux half of Dumb and Dumber and absolutely nailed it. The blazer looked exactly like the photo and totally completed her look. She’s 5’0” and 95 lbs, so the smallest size was still oversized (as expected for a men’s cut), but it worked perfectly for the costume’s vibe. Quality was solid for the price, and it held up through a night of candy, chaos, and photo ops. Verdict: Not tailored for petite teens, but if you’re going for comedic flair or costume gold, it’s a win.

Nice sport coat
Size: X-Large, Color: Khaki
The quality is good but the beige color had a pinkish tone to it that I didn’t care for so it was returned. It’s a nice sport coat otherwise for the price! My husband wears a 42 long but the XL fit well.

I wasn’t expecting much for about $50
Size: Medium, Color: Blue, Size: Medium, Color: Blue
I was in a hurry from for a casual dinner jacket for a Caribbean cruise with my 11 year old this week. I wasn’t gonna be picky. 1) it looks like 70’s leisure suit material 2) what looks like lint are little bits of white polyester thread. When picked off one of said pieces of lint, this picture with the long thread happened 3) it came folded in a manner you should not fold a jacket. 4) Its 19% linen 1% cotton but it looks 0% natural materials 5) A 40R fits me well and I’ll not be able to button this size M, it’s too small for me. It will work unbuttoned 6) I’d return if I had an option. It’s low stakes, I’ll wear it twice and never again. 7) The pictures in the ad are fair, just look at all of them, not just the first one. Overall I don’t think it should be marketed as linen.
