The variegated Philodendron 'Pink Princess Galaxy' is an exceptional and highly sought-after variety by plant collectors. Its large, heart-shaped leaves display a mesmerizing blend of dark green, light green, creamy white, and, most notably, vibrant pink. This random variegation, resembling a galaxy painted on each leaf, creates a unique and ever-changing visual spectacle as the plant grows.
Main Features:
- Foliage: Evergreen, heart-shaped leaves with a velvety texture. Each leaf displays a unique pattern of vibrant pink variegation on a dark green background.
- Habit: Climbing or trailing, depending on the support provided. Can be trained to climb vertically or allowed to cascade gracefully from a hanging basket.
- Growth: Moderate to vigorous, typically reaching a height of 60 to 90 cm indoors, but can extend further with proper support.
- Care: Relatively easy, but requires special attention to lighting to maintain its vibrant variegation.
Care Tips:
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn its leaves and fade its pink variegation.
- Watering: Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot.
- Soil: Use a well-draining and aerated potting mix for houseplants. Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high ambient humidity. Mist the foliage regularly, especially in winter when the air is dry.
- Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures between 18°C and 27°C (64°F and 80°F). Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
- Fertilizing: Fertilize once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength
