NOTE: Orders placed now are PREORDERS and will ship starting Oct 7. Follow the instructions below to start preparing your garden and soil before received your seeds.

Our California Indigenous Wildflower Mix is a custom blend made for us by a local seed company.  California Wildflowers are the easiest way to bring a variety of bright colors to your spring garden, while strongly supporting local wildlife and pollinators (many of which are endangered).

We are offering our mix in packets of 1oz or bulk quantities of 1/4lb and up. Successful plantings of wildflowers require much more seed than most people think, so we only recommend packets for container planting or very small gardens. For average size gardens and up, we recommend at least 1/4lb.

We recommend an application rate of 1/4 lb per 500 sq ft.

Our CA Indigenous mix includes only plants that are indigenous to California and that will support indigenous wildlife species:

Achillea millefolium White yarrow (perennial)

Clarkia unguiculata Elegant clarkia (annual)

Collinsia heterophylla Chinese houses (annual)

Eschscholzia californica California poppy (tender perennial)

Gilia capitata Globe gilia (annual)

Gilia tricolor Bird’s eyes (annual)

Lasthenia californica Dwarf goldfields (annual)

Layia platyglossa Tidytips (annual)

Lupinus microcarpus densiflorus Golden lupine (perennial)

Lupinus succulentus Arroyo lupine (annual)

Mimulus aurantiacus aurantiacus Monkeyflower (perennial)

Nemophila maculata Five spot (annual)

Nemophila menziesii Baby blue eyes (annual)

Phacelia campanularia California blue bells (annual)

Sisyrinchium bellum Blue eyed grass (perennial)

How to seed this wildflower mix:

Prepare Your Soil

The plants in this mix are indigenous to CA, but that doesn't mean they will grow in unprepared soil.  If the area you will be planting has very compact soil with an existing weed population, you will likely get very poor germination without some preparation.

For compacted soils, begin by removing any existing invasive plants.  Loosen the soil surface with a digging fork or tiller and incorporate a 1 inch layer of compost. Water the soil thoroughly and allow water to soak in for one week.

If new "weed" seedling germinate, remove weeds before proceeding to wildfloewr planting.

Planting Time

Spread seeds a few days before there is a prediction for several days of rainy weather.  Wildflower seeds need consistent moisture and cooler temperatures to germinate. An ideal week would have 3 days of rainy weather with temperatures in the 50s and 60s.

Planting Technique

Pour your wildflower seed mix into a 5 gallon bucket or similar size container (that has no holes) with a lid. Add in soil from your garden so the ratio in the bucket is 20:1 soil:seeds.  Close the lid and shake the bucket thoroughly for 2 minutes.  This process will scratch the surface of seed coats, assisting with germination.

Hand broadcast your seeds over the area you want to plant.

Watering

In a prepared soil and a typical California rainy season, wildflowers should not need additional watering to germinate or grow. In the case of a dry season, hand water every days for 5-6 days to germinate, then about twice a week for establishment.

Works reasonably well, though with an Achilles' Heel.
Color: Orange, Number of Items: 1
I've had to use this on tires that were very low, both on cars and on bicycles. It works exactly as you'd expect and absolutely has no trouble handling the much higher pressures of bike tires as well as the much larger volumes of typical car tires. I kind of wish it came with some sort of pouch or something because the box it comes in is the only means to store it with all of its attachments,; Because of how tightly it's all packed in the box, it's a bit of a pain getting it all arranged neatly in the box each time, but that's a minor quibble. If Amazon reviews allowed fractional star earnings, I'd probably rate this more accurately a 3.75 or 3.875. It still has two little flaws. One is the accuracy of its pressure gauge. It always seems to fall just a little short. For example, on my car, recommended cold pressure is 36 psi in front and 39 in the back. I tried pumping to those levels, and everything looked fine. But immediately afterwards, the TPMS sensors would tell me I'm at 35 and 37. Likewise, I like to keep my bike tires at around 42 psi for my commuter bike and around 70 psi for a road bike. After using this little guy, and double checking with a separate gauge, I was getting closer to 40 psi and 67.5 psi respectively. I'm inclined to believe it's a calibration/QC problem and there might be examples that overinflate, too. So while I got one that was overestimating the actual pressure, you might get one that has the opposite issue. Still, close enough that I'm not docking it a full point for this, but a faction of a point. The biggest weakness of this device is really a double-edged sword -- its compactness. The fact that it is compact means that it fits very nicely in the under-trunk storage or even a glovebox in some cars. Problem is that when the device is small, so too is the battery. There's just no escaping this. I had a moment with all 4 tires on my car being on the low side in terms of tire pressure. They were all underinflated by about 6-7 psi below spec and so I just used this pump to get them all up to that target pressure. Even with a full charge, I could not get all 4 tires all the way up to target pressures. I could get the 4th tire about halfway there, but that was where the battery died. That's just a reality you will probably have to live with. Given that it is such a small device, this is basically inevitable, so there's no sense complaining about it, but it is a reality you should be aware of.

An Easy DIY Headlight Restoration Kit with Strong Appeal
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
This restoration kit is appealing because it offers a way to improve cloudy or oxidized headlights without needing power tools. That makes it accessible for people who want to do the job themselves without investing in extra equipment. Cerakote also has a strong reputation in protective coatings, which gives this kit added credibility compared with generic restoration products. The biggest selling point is the promise of restoring clarity while adding a protective finish to help maintain the results. If the process is easy to follow and the wipes are effective, this can be a worthwhile DIY option for improving both appearance and nighttime visibility. For vehicle owners with faded headlights, this seems like one of the more convenient restoration approaches available.

Perfect
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1), Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Honestly one of the best headlight restoration kits I’ve used. The instructions were simple, the process was easy to follow, and the results were way better than expected. My headlights were heavily oxidized and yellow, and after using the 2000/3000 grit sanding steps with the ceramic coating, they looked almost brand new again. The ceramic finish made them crystal clear and glossy. Definitely worth the money and much better than cheap polish-only kits.

Very happy with the outcome, worked perfectly
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I was very happy with the CERAKOTE Ceramic Headlight Restoration Kit. The instructions were simple to follow, and the whole process was much easier than I expected. My headlights were cloudy and dull before using it, but after completing the steps, they looked dramatically clearer and much closer to new. The kit included everything needed, and I liked that it did not require any extra tools or complicated equipment. The results made a noticeable difference in the appearance of the vehicle, and the headlights also seem brighter at night. Overall, this is a great product that does exactly what it claims. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and effective way to restore foggy headlights.

Highly Recommend – Amazing Results on My Honda Accords!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1), Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I recently used the Cerakote Headlight Restoration Kit on both my 2008 and 2014 Honda Accords, and I’m genuinely impressed. The headlights on both cars were badly oxidized, hazy, and yellowed from years of sun exposure. After following the kit’s instructions, they look crystal clear and almost like new again. The process is pretty straightforward and beginner-friendly. It does take roughly an hour per headlight set if you follow all the steps carefully and allow proper air drying time before the final clear coat. There’s a bit of elbow grease involved with the sanding and polishing stages, but nothing overly difficult. The kit provides everything you need, and the instructions are clear. The results are excellent! Both cars now have headlights that look factory-fresh. I’m really happy with how bright and clear they are at night. Best part? I saved a ton of money by restoring them instead of buying expensive OEM replacements. The only minor uncertainty is long-term durability (how well the clear coat holds up after a couple years of sun, weather, and car washes), but for the price and the dramatic improvement I saw, it’s absolutely worth it. I’d definitely buy this kit again if needed. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with cloudy headlights. Great product that delivers professional-looking results at a fraction of the cost!
