This species grows in a rosette shape but according to Chanhinian, who has seen this plant in the wild; it slowly changes to a distichous habit as it matures. We have bloomed many of these plants and have not observed this habit, ours remaining as a rosette. One of its charming qualities is that it propagates on stolons held above the ground, with the offsets supported by stiff, stilt-like roots. Hence, it is sometimes called the 'walking Sansevieria'. A slow, but easy grower.
