9-0-0 Corn Gluten Meal Fertilizer with Iron provides a dual-action solution for a pristine lawn. As a natural pre-emergent herbicide, corn gluten meal works by inhibiting the root development of dandelion and large crabgrass seeds before they emerge. Simultaneously, its high organic nitrogen and iron content provide sustained nutrition for deep, vigorous turf.

Ideal for early season (spring) and late season (fall) applications, this product strengthens your lawn’s natural ability to outcompete invasive weeds.

Why Choose This Product?

  • Corn Gluten Efficiency: Stops dandelion and crabgrass seeds from establishing by targeting them during germination.
  • Intense Green-up: The 1% iron supplement stimulates chlorophyll production for a vibrant forest-green colour.
  • Dense Turf: The nitrogen boost promotes robust vegetative growth, leaving no room for future weeds to take hold.
  • Natural Alternative: A corn gluten-based formula, offering an eco-friendly way to manage your lawn's health.

Directions for Use

  1. Crabgrass Targeting: Apply as soon as the snow melts and the soil begins to warm.
  2. Dandelion Targeting: Apply in late April to intercept spring germination cycles.
  3. Application: Spread uniformly over established lawns using a broadcast or drop spreader.
  4. Watering: A light watering after application helps activate the product.

Warning: Do not apply grass seed within 6 to 8 weeks of treatment, as the corn gluten will prevent new grass seeds from germinating.

Understanding the Formulation (NPK)

The 9-0-0 ratio focuses on top-growth vigour:

  • Nitrogen (N): Derived from corn gluten, it ensures dense foliage and rapid recovery after winter dormancy.
  • Iron (Fe): An essential complement to nitrogen, providing deep greening without causing excessive growth.
  • Pre-emergent Action: Corn gluten creates a natural barrier that disrupts the weed life cycle at the seed stage.

Does Its Job Perfectly
Size: 53.3mm
I’ve had this for years and it’s great. It levels out my grounds perfectly before tamping is very repeatable. I enjoy the ability to adjust the leveling depth to ensure the grounds are perfectly spread regardless of grounds.

Using Normcore Tamper
Size: 53.3mm Flat Base
This tamper is very easy to use and has a perfect weight thanks to the stainless steel build. It evenly tamps the espresso puck, and the 53.3mm fit works flawlessly with my Breville Espresso machine. The puck prep I’m able to achieve has noticeably improved the taste of my espresso. The sleek design is modern, durable, and looks great on my coffee bar.

It's what'd you would expect
Size: 58.5mm Flat Base
I work in espresso professionally and got this as a tester for ergonomic purposes. It does its job as a tamper and does level with little dusting from it being 58.5mm. The self leveling does work. However depending on my baskets (using vst now) it will.self level where the lowest part of the puck is handle side and highest.part opposite. Not an issue with the tamp but something to be mindful of. Works perfectly well on my gaggia setup...not so much commercial grade. The spring is adequate but i tend to tamp a bit harder on heavy weather days.. Build quality is fine but i would have rather used a regular style tamper. Also palm tampers pretty much need to be self leveling based on the ergonomic nature.

Solidly constructed and has a premium, hefty weight
Size: 58.5mm
Works exactly as described. Can be a bit heavy but otherwise it is a premium built product. If you have too much coffee in your basket and they're near the rim of it, coffee can get stuck to the sides of the distributor. A little annoying but easily remedied by brushing the grounds back into the basket or by "flattening" the coffee grounds in the basket first prior to distributing.
