Our Chunky & Funky Indoor Plant Mix was created as a soil-less alternative to bagged potting mix found in-stores. Bagged mixes tend to retain way too much moisture leading to root rot or fungus gnats (Or in the worst case, both).
We blend a combination of light and airy coco chunks and coco coir to retain needed moisture but not sit as heavy on the roots of your plants. We then amend and aerate the mix with orchid bark to give those roots something to grab on to while perlite and pumice increase drainage and hold onto air so the roots have easy access to it (Most indoor plants benefit from their roots being able to breath. Lastly, we spike the soil with some worm castings and organic compost for the nutrient benefit as coco coir does not have the nutrient availability like a heavy soil would and we sprinkle some horticultural charcoal for it's antibacterial abilities.
Chunky & Funky Indoor Plant Substrate is hand blended in Canberra with ingredients sourced from Australia and New Zealand and ships in a home compostable bag (see ya never, plastic).
