The Maranta Leuconeura Kercho or Maranta Fiesta is our new favourite plant; it's stunning with a wide variety of colours and variegation. A beautiful variety of Prayer Plant that is hard to find and will grow happily as a potted or hanging plant. Incredibly easy care and a real 'wow' plant. 

Maranta plants are hardy and easy-care indoor plants. The leaves lie flat during the day and fold upward at night as if in prayer.  Prayer plants are low-maintenance. As a plant that is native to the Brazilian rainforests, Maranta prefers bright indirect sunlight, high humidity, and well-drained soil that has a high humus content

These plants are not tricky to manage, so they are recommended if you have just a little experience with houseplants, but you must be confident that you won't overwater and that you have access to some natural light.

Maranta can take low or direct light.

How should I water this plant?

The Maranta Leuconeura Kercho plant likes to be watered only when the top 2 inches of soil are dry to the touch. During the summer months, you need to water regularly.

Should I feed this houseplant?

Maranta Leuconeura Kercho can be given a liquid feed monthly during the spring and summer months. Please have a look at our vegan, organic plant food! (link)

Is this houseplant suitable if I have pets?

Like most Maranta varieties, it is mildly toxic to pets. The problems with toxicity come from ingestion but it takes a large amount for symptoms to occur.

Lint free, strong, not super absorbent

These are my preferred cotton rounds. I use them twice daily with micellar water to clean my face. There’s no lint, ever, unlike what I grabbed when I ran out once from the drugstore. The edges aren’t pressed to the point they’re abrasive, which I’ve encountered in other brands and is very frustrating. They’re just the right amount of thick - easy to fold to a corner for running along my lower lash line to get makeup off fully, but not so thin they fall apart as you use them. Both sides are equally soft and durable, and using one side doesn’t compromise the integrity of the other. Once one side is dirty, just flip it over! I ordered the bulk pack to drop the cost per round to $0.02/per, since I know I love these and will go through them constantly. This is a great value. I’ve used the same brand’s organic rounds, which are comparable in quality, thickness, softness, and durability, so if organic matters to you but you’re dubious that the cost could be so close while not sacrificing quality, you can be confident that Cliganic isn’t guilty of shrinkflation to cut costs on what should be a comparable yet more eco-premium experience.
