Care Instructions
This easy-to-grow annual does well in a variety of conditions and needs little to thrive. Provide it with light shade, rich well-drained soil, ample water, and plenty of fertilizer—and you’ll be rewarded with stunning flowers and foliage. They are most commonly grown as indoor plants, where they prefer bright but indirect light and shelter from draughts, though they do require adequate air circulation to avoid powdery mildew. If grown outdoors, place the begonia in a shaded area. Keep the soil damp from spring through summer but do not water the foliage (promotes mildew), and never allow the soil to completely dry out. Hardiness zones range from 8-11.
