INSTRUCTIONS - I am reducing paper waste by no longer sending paper instructions to customers. All the information required is detailed below so bookmark this page.

Germination Guide
  • Sow indoors for early plants 
  • Sow on surface of good quality seed compost
  • Gently tamp the seeds into the surface to ensure good contact
  • Seeds need light for germination so barely cover the seeds with a thin scattering of sieved compost or vermiculite.
  • Place tray inside a larger tray of water until the compost mix is moist up to the surface then remove 
  • Keep in a warm position circa 20c - this temperature needs to be night and day so heat mat may be of use if your heating is off at night.
  • Place tray in a warm, bright position (not direct sunlight).
  • Continue to keep consistently moist by misting as required
  • Optionally can loosely cover with plastic bag but remove this as soon as first seeds germinate
  • Germination normally 14-28 days - germination is naturally staggered.
  • Prick out and pot on once large enough to handle
