Strawberry begonias are houseplants that have trailing runners that look like strawberry plants.

Strawberry begonia’s botanical name is Saxifraga Stolonifera or Creeping Saxifrage and it is also commonly known as a Strawberry geranium.

Strawberry begonia plants are originally from Japan but have been popular with houseplant enthusiasts because of their colorful foliage.

Each leaf of the strawberry saxifrage plant has a red-colored underside and stems.

As the plants grow older, they sprout long and thin trailing runners that cluster and group into rounded leaves as they mature.

The clusters of leaves will produce small white flowers in late spring to early summer.

LightProvide your Strawberry Begonia with bright, indirect sunlight. A place near an East or West-facing window is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight as it will scorch the foliage and often creates holes in the leaves.

WaterProvide plenty of water for your Begonia during the spring and summer growth months. Water when the top 2 to 3 inches of soil is dry. Water until the moisture runs through the pot’s drainage holes. When watering, avoid pouring the water directly onto the leaves. Leaves with hairs on the surface hold moisture, which promotes fungal issues. Reduce water in the winter, providing just enough to keep the plant hydrated.

Humidity: Moderate to high humidity levels help the plant thrive. Average household humidity levels are acceptable, but homes with low humidity can supplement by placing a tray filled with pebbles and water under the plant’s drip tray.

Temperature: The Strawberry Begonia prefers cool temperatures. Keep your plant in temperatures between 50 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (10 to 23.8 C). Avoid high heat as it stunts growth and affects the Begonia’s health.

Toxicity: Begonias are considered toxic to pets and humans, especially if the roots are ingested. Keep this plant away from pets and small children.

OriginStrawberry Begonia is a native of Eastern Asia, Western China, and Japan and is often found on shady cliffs and mossy rocks at low altitudes.

Plant supplied in hanging nursery plastic pot - ø 15 cm x h - 14 cm ( plant size in total 40 cm approx) .

Dragons
Format: Paperback
I can only say WOWS again—Casey Grimes wasn’t in this but others from the previous book where. Can’t wait to read the next book—will there be dragons in it—the previous books keep mentioning dragons and this book was excellent—I am going to hate when I run out of this series

Kansas City Dragon Business
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
This novel reveals a little-known part of Kansas City’s past—in the 1930s it was running a brisk dragon hatching, renting and sales business! Fast forward 80 or 90 years after the operation was shut down by the city—and be amazed! A suburban family with four boys moves into a 100-year old house in Crossroads of KC and into the adventure of their lives. Add a talking lizard and a trash-talking wizard out of the past, and you have a tale funny, terrifying, and thought-provoking all at once. I hope to see this in every bookstore window in Kansas City!
