Description: Alocasia 'Calidora', commonly known as Dwarf Elephant Ear, is a striking tropical plant noted for its large, lush, and deeply veined leaves that resemble the ears of an elephant. Despite being termed "dwarf," this variety can still reach impressive sizes compared to other houseplants, though it is more compact than its larger Alocasia relatives. The leaves are typically a rich green and can grow up to several feet in length, creating a dramatic visual impact. This plant thrives in well-draining soil and requires consistent moisture, preferring high humidity and warm temperatures. It does best in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions, though growth may be slower. Native to tropical regions of Asia, Alocasia 'Calidora' is part of the Araceae family and is popular for adding a touch of the tropics to indoor spaces or shaded garden areas.
