Our Anchor Base with Tall Pole is your go-to solution for enhanced stability and plant health. Crafted with versatility and durability in mind, this anchor base features a 3-inch (7.5 cm) diameter and sturdy edge lip that makes your moss pole more secure and stable in various planting setups:

For LECA and Hydroponics: The edge lip securely holds LECA or other hydroponic media, providing a stable foundation that keeps your moss pole upright without disrupting water flow or root structure. Its open design ensures optimal drainage and water circulation, supporting a healthier root system and preventing root rot in hydro setups.

For Soil: When placed in pots 4 inches (10.2 cm) or larger, this anchor base integrates seamlessly into soil environments. The drainage-friendly design prevents water pooling, allowing moisture to flow freely through your pot’s drainage holes, helping prevent root rot and supporting a healthier root system. With its added stability, it keeps your moss pole securely anchored as your plant grows and climbs.

This base is compatible with all of our Standard 1.5 in Diameter-Sized Moss Buildable Moss Poles and includes a tall Moss Pole body for ideal climbing support. Whether used with soil or LECA, this anchor base provides the sturdiness, reliable drainage, and root protection essential for a thriving indoor garden.

What’s Included:

• 1 Standard 1.5 in Diameter-Sized Anchor Base (3-inch/7.5 cm diameter) for extra support and upright stability
• 1 Tall Moss Pole Buildable Bodies, each measuring 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) in height, perfect for building taller moss poles

Recommended Placement:

For Soil: Place the anchor base at the bottom of any pot 4 inches (10.2 cm) or larger, positioned centrally or close to the main stem of your plant. It’s recommended to add the anchor base during repotting to ensure ample room for the root ball, allowing for optimal root growth and stability. Cover the base with soil, embedding it deeply enough for stable pole support while keeping drainage holes unobstructed. If you’re not ready to repot, we recommend using our 4-prong spike for added support.

For LECA and Hydroponics: Before placing the plant and LECA in the container, it’s recommended to remove the plant and media first. Then, add the anchor base and tall body to the bottom of the vessel, positioning them centrally for balanced support. Once the anchor is secure, add the LECA or hydroponic media around it, followed by the plant. This setup ensures stable support, unrestricted water flow, and room for the roots to spread naturally.
