Aglaonema Red Dragon, commonly known as the Chinese Evergreen, is a beautifully coloured choice of house plant that will thrive in a humid environment. As they are native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and New Guinea, it is no wonder that they enjoy high moisture content in the air and benefit from regular misting.

Their stunning colouring puts forward a lovely mid-green, dappled with ivory, stripey variegation emerging from the leaves’ rich pink middles.

Avoid placing your Aglaonema in drafty areas, and keep in mind its origin dictates that its favourite temperatures to live in will oscillate around 18 - 23 °C.

Good tell-tale signs to let you know that the Aglaonema needs a bit more humidity around it are visual cues: yellow, brown-tipped, discoloured or droopy leaves. When re-planting, make sure to use well-draining compost mix.

Growing your Aglaonema from its baby stage and watching it mature over time, from a tiny leafy stem to a healthy, fully grown plant is a delight to witness. It’s also easily propagated in soil or water via stem cuttings.
