Care Tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate leaves. An east-facing windowsill is often ideal.
- Water: Mist the plant thoroughly 2-3 times a week, ensuring that excess water drains away. Alternatively, you can soak the plant in a bowl of water for 20-30 minutes once a week. Allow the plant to dry completely before returning it to its display location. This is important to prevent rot, especially in the bulbous base.
- Air Circulation: Good air circulation is crucial for Tillandsias. Ensure that the plant is not placed in a stagnant or enclosed environment. A light breeze or a position near a fan can be beneficial.
- Temperature: Maintain warm temperatures between 15-29°C (59-85°F) for optimal growth. Avoid exposing this tropical gem to cold draughts or frost.
- Fertiliser: Use a diluted bromeliad or orchid fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). This will help to encourage healthy growth and flowering.
- Mounting: Tillandsia caput-medusae can be mounted on various surfaces, such as driftwood, cork bark, or even decorative rocks. Use fishing line, wire, or glue to securely attach the plant to its mount. Be sure to choose a mount that allows for good air circulation around the plant.

Great heat tape

This tape is thicker and a bit more rigid which makes it easy to handle. It tears cleanly and doesn't wrinkle or fold over on itself when you're trying to place it. The adhesion is great. It is strong enough to hold sublimation paper and vinyl securely on any item, from tumblers to t-shirts, without any lifting during the press. It comes off cleanly every single time and leaves no residue or color marks behind.

This is not good heat tape.

I bought this for sublimation and t-shirt making and because you get a lot for a decent price. Well, just spend the money on the good golden tape because this stuff doesn't hold up like that. I had a few cups ruined because the tape released while in the oven. Not cool at all. I don't have a LLC to buy cups in bulk, so it wasn't 1 or 2 bucks this take ruined. So be aware that this tape is poop before using.

Works well and easy to use for sublimation

I’ve been using this heat tape for a few different sublimation projects—mugs, shirts, and a couple of random DIY gifts. It holds up great under heat. No slipping, no weird residue left behind on my blanks, and it peels off cleanly every time.
The stickiness is just right—not so strong that it’s a pain to remove, but strong enough to keep designs in place while pressing. I also like that you get several rolls in the pack, which makes it a great value for the price.
It’s easy to work with and cuts cleanly, which is helpful when you’re lining up small designs. Overall, this has made my sublimation process a lot smoother.
