Having originated from hot and humid Mexico where it rains infrequently, the Beaucarnea Nolina has evolved to store water in its stem - so it doesn't mind if you forget to water them for a week or two! This low-maintenance indoor plant rarely needs watering at all, only when its soil is dry.

The Nolina plant likes to be kept warm (17-22°C) and in a humid environment. To avoid their leaves browning, give them a regular mist if they aren't in a bathroom or kitchen. As a sun-lover, keep your Ponytail Palm in bright, indirect sunlight.

Interestingly, the Ponytail Palm Tree isn't actually a palm or a tree at all, it is a succulent from the agave family. It earned its name from its resemblance to a palm tree and because its long, hair-like leaves look like a ponytail!
