Proper care will help keep your Brazilian Philodendron healthy and thriving. Here are care instructions for this plant:

Light:
Place your Brazilian Philodendron in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Too little light can lead to leggy growth and reduced variegation.

Watering:
Allow the top inch or so of the soil to dry out between waterings. Stick your finger into the soil to check the moisture level. Water thoroughly, ensuring that excess water drains from the pot. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's important not to let the plant sit in soggy soil.

Humidity:
Brazilian Philodendron thrives in higher humidity levels. If your indoor environment is dry, consider using a humidifier or placing a tray of water near the plant to increase humidity. Misting the leaves can also help.

Temperature:
Maintain a temperature range of 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, sudden temperature changes, or cold drafts from windows or doors.

Soil:
Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture but doesn't become overly compacted. A mix formulated for tropical plants or a mixture of potting soil, peat moss, and perlite works well.

Fertilization:
During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your Brazilian Philodendron with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks. Reduce or cease fertilization during the fall and winter when growth slows down.

This pillow — after dialing in the right amount of shredded foam — has greatly helped my sore neck. Initially, I had to remove some foam. I like the travel size because I use a bulky hugging pillow to ease stress on my shoulder and elbow. That makes my side of the bed feel cramped if using a larger head pillow. A smaller pillow is easy to flip end-to-end in the middle of the night.
