To plant Philodendron 'Summer Glory,' select an area that receives bright, indirect sunlight and has well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as deep and twice as wide as the root ball. After placing the root ball in the hole, backfill the hole with soil and press firmly to remove air pockets. Water the area thoroughly and mulch with a layer of compost. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Fertilize every two to three months using a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength. Prune away dead or damaged foliage as needed, and provide a support system for the vine as it grows.
