On NASA's Top 10 Air Cleaning Plants!

  • Natural Air Purifier - Removes Toxins from your home
  • Symbol of Hope, Peace, Prosperity, Tranquility, and Purification
  • A Lovely Gift for Sympathy, Get Well, Apology, etc
  • Low Maintenance House Plant

Description

The botanical name of the Peace Lily, Spathiphyllum, means peace and prosperity. What a perfect name for this beautiful plant. The Peace Lily is a symbol of hope, tranquility, rebirth, and purification so it is a perfect sympathy, get well, or apology gift. Many even believe the white bract flowers known as spathes resemble the white flag of surrender or the sails of a ship.

The Peace Lily is on NASA's list of top 10 air-cleaning plants. This amazing natural air purifier doesn't just add oxygen to your home; it filters and removes toxins including benzene, formaldehyde, ethylene, and ammonia!

These chemical compounds are thought to be responsible for Sick Building Syndrome so order a Peace Lily or 3 for your workplace and your home! The Peace Lily even absorbs mold spores. This houseplant is perfect for your bathroom. It can help eliminate yucky mildew! Plus this plant loves humidity so you'll have a happy plant too.

Glossy, green leaves float in the air on top of shimmery thick stems. The white, flower-like spathes pop up above the lush foliage. This plant has an elegant and tropical look.

The Peace Lily is a low-maintenance houseplant. Simply water it when the soil begins to dry. This plant can grow in low light conditions but needs medium to bright filtered light in order to produce its flower-like spathes. Fertilize with our balanced slow-release fertilizer twice per year for best growth.

This plant can be grown outside as a patio plant but needs some protection from the sun. It will need to be treated as an annual or moved in before temperatures drop below about 50 degrees.

Whether it is a gift, a way to purify your air, or you just want a bit of tranquil life in your home, the Peace Lily is one of the best choices in houseplants. Order yours today!

How To Care

Look for an area with filtered high to low light. Peace Lilies grow well in low light conditions but will not flower.

Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Test the soil by pushing your finger about 1 inch below the surface. Water when it is dry to the touch. You are much more likely to overwater a Peace Lily that underwater.

Spathiphyllum likes a humid environment. So be sure to keep your houseplant away from drafts. If your home is very dry your plant may benefit from misting the leaves a couple of times per week. Even if you completely neglect your Peace Lily and the leaves are drooping, don't panic! Give it a good watering including the leaves. It will likely revive within a day.

Keep your houseplant fertilized with our slow-release fertilizer about twice per year. The fertilizer will feed the plant slowly over time and encourage growth.

Repot when you notice that the soil seems to be drying out every couple of days or you see roots coming to the surface. These are indicators that your plant is becoming rootbound. Peace lilies like to be somewhat rootbound though so don't give your plant too much room in a new pot.

If you want to prune back fading flower bracts, prune close to the base of the plant. Another flower will not be produced on that stem.

This plant can be grown outside as a patio plant but needs some protection from the sun. It will need to be treated as an annual or moved in before temperatures drop below about 50 degrees.

My Denon ROCKS
Style: AVR-X3800H
Pros: Nine Amps power a 9.1 or 7.1.2 or 5.2.4 speaker configuration because most of us want Atmos to work in our listening room. Plenty of power available in each amp and each configuration Atmos DTS IMAX plus any other codec or audio visual enhancement is available. Yes, 4K 8K HDR all supported. Three HDMI outputs Preamp output for up to 11 channels so any combination of preamp vs. power amplifier output is available. But not both preamp AND power amp for the same channel. And you can pick and choose which channel you want for pre amp vs power amp individually. So it can function as a AV Preamp Processor at very reasonable price point. DAC (changes Digital Signal to Analog) with all the power amplifiers you could want. High quality, including DSD, is an added bonus. Setup customizable to the nth degree. Some people might say too many options but that’s the way we get this AVR to meet our individual requirements I’ve been working with the setup for the last week and have dialed in for my needs. Still playing with the HEOS but I think it’s working well for now. Various HDMI inputs need different surround settings, I like the DTS best, but the unit has a way to include default settings for each HDMI. I’ll use default settings with my BluRay. And I’ll use direct or pure or whatever the source allows for music and streaming. And most users will want a streaming stick like the Amazon one otherwise you can’t get the Atmos signal to work. Older streamers won’t pass the Atmos signal though. The only problem with a device like this is you will buy more speakers and amps and possibly even more subwoofers, the unit will support 4 subwoofers. Enjoy So I will get back to you with comments about longer term issues. BTW the 3800 was a refurbished version for $999 . Definitely an excellent value. The online reviews are quite favorable. Even the audiophiles are still learning the nuances of setup. It’s worth the extra effort to get the most out of each user’s individual existing equipment. Cons: None. I’ve been an audio video nerd for decades so I can say that the setup effort is easily justified once the user, with user manual in hand, patiently works out the desired configuration. The audio expert online information is invaluable. I have 21MBS broadband service in my region. Even with this limitation I have more than enough added capacity with the Denon that I would never return it to seller unless someone catastrophic happened. Yes I like it that much.

Denon Refurb AVR-X3800h.. IMPRESSIVE!
Style: AVR-X3800H, Style: AVR-X3800H
I did a lot of homework and made contact with the seller. Great communication. Turns out all of the Denon refurbished receivers are inspected or repaired by DENON, and re-certified only after passing tests upon functional as new. It arrived in a Denon box, very well insulated. Contained all NEW accessories like new & sealed. Appears flawless. The setup was easy since I have years of previous experience with surround systems. This replaced my Onkyo of 10 years. And WOW, the difference is phenomenal! Great onscreen setup + smart phone app makes it nice for making fine tuning adjustments. This model is packed with all the latest tech. The Durac Live is easily downloadable, but I am so impressed with the Audacy setup I didn’t buy the download. Great value refurbished. It comes with a one year warranty, so I purchased the 3 year assurion warranty since I saved so much money. Very happy.

PITA to Set-Up and Hard to Connect to WiFi
Style: AVR-X3800H
This one went right back after hours spent on set-up. Room correction software was buggy as well. I couldn't get it going and called it a day and bought the Onkyo TX-RZ50 which is equally hard to get consistent sound and and hard to cnnect to WiFi and Bluetooth. Onkyo support, however, is far superior.

Great receiver, Digital Room Correction is worth it
Style: AVR-X3800H
Being a refurb, the unit seems brand new. No issues at all, working great so far after months of use. Audyssey XT32 works really well in my main seating position. Any other listening position on the couch is not great, but not the receivers issue. Just noting that there’s only so much you can fix with digital room correction, my room is the opposite of ideal. Love the multiple sub control. Dynamic EQ is fantastic also. Audyssey transformed my music. My 5.2 speaker setup is Frankenstein’d together with different brands and it was interesting to see the drastically different frequency responses of each speaker. With it all tuned, it sounds great. I find myself just sitting down and jamming to music for hours.
