Epipremnum Marble Queen Large – A Stunning, Variegated Climbing Pothos for Statement Greenery
The Epipremnum Marble Queen Large is a strikingly variegated pothos variety, renowned for its lush, cascading vines adorned with creamy white and green marbled foliage. This low-maintenance, fast-growing beauty adds a touch of sophisticated charm to any home or office, making it a perfect choice for plant lovers of all experience levels.
Catalog Overview
A statement vine with broad, heart-shaped leaves marbled in milk-white and deep green. This large specimen delivers instant presence—equally striking as a cascading curtain or trained vertically for a sculptural column.
Spec Highlights
- Botanical: Epipremnum aureum ‘Marble Queen’
- Habit: trails freely or climbs with support; internodes tighten on a pole/plank
- Foliage: high-contrast marbling; satin surface; gently undulated margins
- Current scale (large): typically ~50–90 cm (20–35 in) with multiple active runners
- Pet note: keep out of nibbling reach
Placement Notes
Stage from a tall planter or shelf for waterfall drama, or attach to a moss pole to broaden leaf size and amplify the marbling. Neutral vessels (stone, matte white, sand) let the pattern read clean from across the room.
Light & Climate
Favors diffused daylight—east exposure or a bright spot behind sheers. Protect from harsh midday beams to keep pale sectors crisp. Typical home conditions work well: ~45–65% RH, 18–29 °C (65–85 °F).
Water & Medium
Hydrate when the surface layer feels dry; water through and let excess drain. Use a well-aerated aroid blend (bark + pumice/perlite + coco) that keeps roots oxygenated and growth steady.
Training & Upkeep
Feed lightly at ¼–½ strength during active months. Pinch or trim leaders to thicken the canopy; guide a few stems upward for larger, flatter blades. Quarter-turn the planter every couple of weeks for even presentation.
Acclimation
Increase brightness gradually over 7–10 days. New flushes typically show the cleanest white veining and the boldest contrast.
