Ficus Benghalensis ‘Audrey’ – Baby Multi Stem
A refined and modern take on the classic banyan tree, the Ficus Audrey features soft matte leaves with elegant vein patterns and a structured multi-stem form. This baby version comes in a fuller cluster, giving it a more styled and premium look right from the start.
Subtle, architectural and easy to style — perfect for contemporary homes and gifting.
Plant Details
- Plant Type: Ficus Benghalensis ‘Audrey’
- Pot Size: 16cm
- Height: Approx. 35cm
- Form: Multi-stem cluster
- Foliage: Velvety green leaves with light veins
Each plant varies slightly in stem arrangement and fullness.
Why This Audrey Stands Out
- Multi-stem form gives a fuller, designer look
- Unique soft matte leaves (different from glossy ficus types)
- Clean, structured growth suitable for modern interiors
- A more refined alternative to the usual Ficus elastica
Often seen as a more premium and curated ficus variety.
Origin & Character
Native to regions of India, the Audrey is closely related to the banyan tree — a symbol of strength and longevity. This cultivated form has been refined for indoor growing, making it more manageable while retaining its natural character.
Feng Shui Significance
Ficus varieties symbolise:
- Stability and grounding energy
- Growth and upward progress
- Strong foundational support
Best placed in living areas or near workspaces to promote steady growth and balance.
Repotting Recommendation
Highly recommended to repot for better long-term growth:
- Move into a pot at least 3–5cm larger
- Use well-draining, nutrient-rich soil (e.g. Down To Earth mix)
- Ensure proper drainage
Repotting helps encourage stronger roots and fuller foliage development.
Care Guide
- Prefers bright indirect light
- Water when topsoil dries slightly
- Avoid overwatering
- Wipe leaves occasionally to maintain appearance
A relatively hardy plant once acclimated.
Gifting Appeal
- Clean, modern aesthetic suitable for any home
- Symbolic of growth and stability
- Easy-care nature makes it beginner-friendly
A great option for housewarmings, office setups or meaningful everyday gifting.
