UNS Bonsai 016 is a structured aquarium bonsai tree featuring branches with flat stumps at the ends. Handcrafted by artisans for maximum functionality, these flat surfaces allow for the easy and stable placement of aquatic moss or epiphytic plants. Bonsai driftwood is a good choice for creating a high-impact planted aquarium hardscape, as it provides a perfect scaffold for building thick, lush tufts of greenery. Available in three sizes, Bonsai 016 will accommodate a range of tank dimensions. The tree can be used alone or in combination with your favorite aquarium stone to create a unique aquascape layout ready for planting.
Key Features and Important Notes
- Each tree is a unique, one-of-a-kind sculpture hand-assembled from natural driftwood. Because no two pieces are identical, you will receive a tree with its own distinct character, texture, and branch placement.
- Aquarium wood serves as a vital biological filter. Its porous surface supports beneficial bacteria growth and provides a natural foraging ground for shrimp and small fish to graze on biofilm.
- This wood is naturally buoyant and requires a thorough soak or boil to sink. For an immediate setup, secure the base to a heavy aquarium stone or use aquarium-safe glue to anchor it in place.
