The Licuala Grandis is a slow growing, and surprisingly very hardy tropical plant, native to the Vanuatu Islands right off the coast of Australia. Its distinct, fan-shaped leaves should be handled carefully, as the edges are sharp. This is a plant you can place in either indirect or low light -- it’ll do just fine in either light environment, though will grow very slowly. Bright indirect light is best, but keep yours out of direct full sun, which can scorch its leaves.
