Senecio rowleyanus is a succulent plant of Compositae Senecio, also known as "String of Pearls." It is mainly spherical, with leaves measuring about 0.5 cm in diameter. There is an apparent longitudinal line of transparency on the pea-sized leaf. When the water in the leaf is particularly full, the longitudinal line is more transparent. Elongated creeping stem growth, up to 1m, can be planted in the hanging basin to make the stems and leaves hang.

How to care for String of Pearls/Senecio Rowleyanus

Sun/Location: Light with a diffused spectrum and semi-shade are most beneficial. If exposed to sunlight, the plant may be burned. However, it also grows poorly when the light is too low. A significant obstacle to its growth occurs in summer when it is overexposed direct light, so it needs to be shaded in time. In spring and autumn, when temperatures are lower, it should be exposed to direct sunlight to facilitate its photosynthesis and accumulation of nutrients.

Soil/Pot: As a short-rooted plant, it needs good drainage and permeability soil. Typically, it uses humus or peat soil, fertile field soil, coarse sand in equal amounts, and some bone meal to increase the strength of its roots. The choice of pot should be a manageable size.
