The key to a healthy bird's nest fern is providing it with ample warmth, humidity, and moisture. When growing it as a houseplant, one of the best places to locate a bird's nest fern is near a shower or tub in a bathroom where it will receive optimal humidity and warmth along with sufficient light.


New leaves will constantly emerge from the central area of the plant, which resembles a bird's nest. Do not touch, move, or handle the new, delicate fronds as they emerge from the nest. They are extremely fragile, and if you touch them, there is a high chance of them becoming damaged or deformed.

Difficult Assembly and Very Unstable
Extremely difficult to assemble. It seems like the metal wasn't cut well. Some things screw right in, while others will make your hands raw trying. It is true to size, which is great, aside from the fact that with how hard it is to build, disassembling and reassembling for storage would be a nearly impossible task, and it's extremely hard to tuck away anywhere fully built with the size and feet on the bottom. It's also pretty unstable and doesn't stand fully straight, which is a little nerve wracking with pets in the room. I am dreading dissassembling this thing to return it once I have something to replace it, but trust that I will be ASAP.
