What You Need To Know:
How to Grow Bonsai from Seed(General Steps)
- Seed Preparation: Soak the seeds in room temperature water for 24-48 hours. This helps break their dormancy.
- Seed Planting: Fill a bonsai pot or tray with well-drained bonsai soil mix. Spread the soaked seeds on the surface, evenly spaced. Press them lightly into the soil.
- Moisture and Cover: Spray the soil surface lightly to keep it moist. Cover the pot or tray with a plastic lid or plastic wrap to create a mini greenhouse effect. This helps to maintain humidity and temperature, which are essential for seed germination.
- Light and Temperature: Place the pots or trays in a warm, well-lit area out of direct sunlight. Bonsai seeds typically require temperatures around 70-80°F (21-27°C) to germinate.
- Germination and Growth: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Germination times vary by species, but can take anywhere from weeks to months. Be patient and maintain consistent moisture and light. Once seedlings appear, remove the cover.
- First Pruning: When the seedlings reach a few inches in height, prune them gently to encourage branching. Continue to prune and shape as the bonsai grow
- Repotting and Maintenance: As your bonsai matures, repot every 1-2 years to provide fresh soil and ensure adequate root development.
- Patience and Care: Bonsai trees grow slowly. Be patient as you nurture them. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Maintain regular pruning, watering, and fertilizing to keep your bonsai healthy and lush.

High on Tropes and Satisfaction
Format: Kindle
This is a great Romantasy book full of action, adventure, and everything you look for in this genre.
I won’t lie: it does kinda feel like the author found every common trope from every successful book of this kind and threw them all into this novel. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially in romance, there’s a large audience who has specific expectations, and they want them every time. Nothing wrong with that and many times I’m one of them.
I have no idea what defines a spoiler honestly, so
spoiler alert!!!!!!!
Tropes include:
Only one bed at the inn/bar
Dissatisfaction with life before hunk appears
Lost royalty
The chosen one
Montage of dress up time followed by shocked hunk
Forbidden romance between two from rival peoples
Power that cannot be controlled, simply guided/asked
Gathering intel at the inn/bar
FMC who knows how to fight/use weapons well
There’s probably more but no need to list them all.
Good story and I would recommend!

☕️The need to claim her, mark her, break her, seared through me like white fire🎨
Format: Kindle
"Some trauma stuck with you and Kaleb's had fused itself to his bones like a demented shadow. Rearing it's ugly head whenever it got hungry, feasting on whatever stability he'd managed to regain since it's last meal."
"The need to claim her, mark her, break her, seared through me like white fire."
"I shivered at his touch, expecting to find disgust in his stare, but finding something else instead. Wonder. And something else. A sort of recognition that could only come from someone who knew the same level of pain. Of fear for their own life."
"In a moment of clarity, I realized I knew why a good guy would never be enough. Good guys didn't touch you like bad guys did. They didn't push the limits. Hold you down. Make you insane with need. Make you scream."
"I figured Becca was like a bad habit. All I needed to do was resist her long enough and I'd be free. I didn't want to be free. I needed to be free."
"Like he was waiting patiently for me to come to him, like he knew he didn't have to chase me anymore. Back to being my Mr. Dark and Gloomy. No. Not my. Never mine."
"Let the panic consume you. Accept it or else it'll never let you go. And then remember, you are stronger than you think you are."
Yes! This first book was everything. I have been very curious about Becca and her new love interests since I read The Crows series. This was packed full of action and the plot has me fully invested. The spice was spicin 🔥🔥🔥. The characters were fleshed out fully as well. This one left on a cliffhanger and I wanted to punch Aodhan. Although secretly my heart breaks for him 😂😭.
This follows Becca as she moved to CA and is attending Calarts. Her father cut her off, she has no money, so she has to start over by herself. She ends up running into Hardin and Kaleb who are brothers and cousins to the Saints from the crows series. Becca, while attracted to them, hates them as she blames their father for her mother's death. Meanwhile she meets another stranger named Aodhan who wants to take her on a date. Who is this mysterious Irishman? While Hardin and Kaleb are the kings and rule the LA area, a new Irish gang is trying to take their turff. Secrets are unleashed regarding Becca's past. Lives are lost. A war is breaking out. Secret identities are in the mist. Who will survive in this duet?
I always loved Becca from the other series. She has been through a lot and she's still healing from those events. You could see her growth in this first book. I love her fiery and badass self. Kaleb is a golden retriever and ray of sunshine when he's not stuck in his trauma. I love how outgoing and funny he is. His brother Hardin is the opposite. He doesn't talk. He's very angry and doesn't take crap from anyone. Aodhan is a mystery. He seems sweet and chill but also extremely broken. All of these men and Becca have heavy trauma going on. The spicy scenes between her and the brothers was so hot 🔥🔥🔥. They had insane chemistry 🥵. I'm curious how Aodhan will be added.
I loved seeing cameos from the crows and Ava! I hope we get to see more of them in the next book. I love how Sloane is such a fierce badass. The women in this series are just fantastic. Damien is a strong character and I'm excited to see how that unfolds. I also love Becca's new roommates. Onto the next book!

Soulless Saint
Format: Kindle
This is a spinoff featuring Becca, Hardin and Kaleb. You don't need to read the other Elena Lawson series to read this one. I didn't and I understood the plot easily. Becca is struggling to get back on her feet after her dad cuts her off. She finds a job and roommates and keeps bumping into Kaleb and Hardin. They are members of The Saints, Santa Clarita chapter. Their cousins are from the Thorn Valley chapter featured in the other series. Hardin is silent but deadly whereas Kaleb is battling demons and the world knows it. They've been asked to look after Becca, unbeknownst to her but they get too close and become obsessed with her. None of them can stay away from each other which puts Becca and danger from The Saints enemies. Can she survive more gang life violence? Becca wants to stay away but their chemistry is undeniable. This book has lots of violence and lots of passion. It's a thrill ride from beginning to end.

"In a moment of clarity, I realized I knew why a good guy would never be enough..."
Format: Kindle
"...Good guys didn't touch you like the bad guys did. They didn't push the limits. Hold you down. Make you insane with need. Make you scream."
A spin off from the Crows but it's own story. I've been rushing to get to this book (had some others I had to read first). But I could not hold off any longer. I happily picked it up and refused to put it down. This book is going to pick up where we left off with Becca from the Boys of Briar Hall. She has made her way to SoCal Arts and cut off by her dad.
The Kings of Kilburn, also cousins to our Crows, have been asked to watch Becca as a favor. Ava Jade is worried about her. Hardin and Kaleb have their own issues but someone find themselves individually drawn to Becca. And Becca, well her bad guy rep is pulling her to them just as much. What should be toxic, is super HOT.
But the Kings have Saint business as well. Damian St Vincent, the ruthless leader of this Saints chapter, also happens to be the boys father. And they are currently being threatened by a new Irish gang, Sons of Sullivan. This threat is unaliving member of the Saints and messing up relationships that have been established. Damian warns the guys to stay away from Becca because with this threat, it could put her in danger if she is a known associate to the boys. But things are never that easy.
And lastly, we have would could be a third player. Aódhan. He's Irish and has his own secrets. Also super hot and seems to find himself infatuated with Becca too. But the last chapter, we are going to see inside his POV, and there is more to this Irishmen to come for sure.
Cliffhanger! I always want more from Elena Lawson books, but I love them so much I can't wait for the series to be completed before diving in.
