Le Philodendron « Green Congo » est un cultivar robuste et attrayant du genre Philodendron, connu pour ses grandes feuilles brillantes et sa grande adaptabilité en intérieur. Cette variété est particulièrement appréciée pour son feuillage vert vif et sa capacité à s'épanouir dans des conditions intérieures variées.
Le Philodendron « Green Congo » présente de larges feuilles en forme de cœur, généralement d'un vert profond et profond. Leur surface lisse et brillante confère une touche tropicale luxuriante à tout intérieur. La plante pousse de façon compacte et érigée, atteignant une hauteur d'environ 90 à 120 cm (36 à 48 pouces) et une largeur d'environ 60 à 90 cm (24 à 36 pouces). Culture du Philodendron 'Green Congo'
Conditions:
- Lumière : Le Philodendron « Green Congo » s'épanouit dans une lumière vive et indirecte, mais peut tolérer des conditions de faible luminosité. Il doit être protégé de la lumière directe du soleil, qui peut brûler les feuilles et nuire à la santé générale de la plante.
- Température : Cette plante préfère des températures comprises entre 18 et 27 °C (65 et 80 °F). Elle est particulièrement adaptée aux zones de rusticité USDA 10-11. Évitez de l'exposer à des températures inférieures à 10 °C (50 °F) et protégez-la des courants d'air froid.
- Sol : Le Philodendron « Green Congo » préfère un terreau riche et bien drainé. Un mélange de tourbe, de perlite et de compost est idéal pour assurer un bon équilibre entre rétention d'humidité et drainage.
- Arrosage : Maintenez le sol constamment humide, mais pas détrempé. Arrosez abondamment et laissez sécher les premiers centimètres de terre avant d'arroser à nouveau. Un arrosage excessif peut entraîner la pourriture des racines ; veillez donc à ce que le pot soit bien drainé.
Plantation et entretien :
- Plantation : Utilisez un contenant percé de trous de drainage pour planter le Philodendron « Green Congo » . Un terreau de qualité, qui retient l'humidité tout en permettant l'évacuation de l'eau, est recommandé.
- Fertilisation : Nourrissez la plante avec un engrais liquide équilibré toutes les 4 à 6 semaines pendant la saison de croissance (printemps et été). Réduisez la fréquence des fertilisations en automne et en hiver, lorsque la croissance ralentit.
- Entretien : Un entretien régulier consiste à retirer les feuilles mortes ou jaunies et à les nettoyer avec un chiffon humide pour les dépoussiérer. Surveillez la présence de parasites courants comme les tétranyques ou les pucerons et traitez-les rapidement. La taille peut aider à donner forme à la plante et favoriser une croissance plus touffue.
Propagation
- Boutures : Propagez le Philodendron « Green Congo » par bouturage. Choisissez une tige saine avec au moins un nœud et quelques feuilles. Placez la bouture dans de l'eau ou un terreau et maintenez un environnement chaud et humide jusqu'au développement des racines.
- Division : Pour les plantes plus grandes, vous pouvez multiplier en divisant la motte lors du rempotage. Assurez-vous que chaque division possède suffisamment de racines et de feuilles, puis rempotez-les séparément.

Tiny, but mighty

I ordered this in July, 2023, and it works very well, great speed. I use it every single morning, to mix my mushroom coffee, cinnamon, and collagen protein. If you're looking for a really good frother, this probably isn't going to meet that demand. It does give some froth, but nothing crazy. I have read reviews that mention "no longer worked after replacing batteries", but mine is still great even after replacing them, which I didn't have to do until after 3 months of usage. I don't know if the color matters in relation to that, but I bought the red one. I would definitely recommend this product.

The BEST Frother!!! (with a ONE YEAR UPDATE as of February 2026!)

I absolutely LOVE this little gem of a product. LOVE IT!! I use this thing every single day to mix up powdered collagen into a latte. It is so much fun to use. Every time I use it I sing out loud, "Oh little frother....where have you been all my life??" Ha ha! My brother had one at his house that we used to make whipped cream from heavy cream and I was honestly amazed at how quickly 2-3 ounces of heavy cream turned into delicious whipped cream for our coffees (like less than 10 seconds!) My brother has the kind that rests on a little stand, but honestly I did not want that type because the stand seemed unstable and honestly, a PITA to have standing on the counter. I like that this one does not have a stand. At first I thought the battery was going to die instantly, because it slowed down at first when I tried the first few times. But, I figured out how to use it and the trick of it is to not submerge it too far down into the drink where the little motor will struggle to keep up. Instead, I move it around a bit, giving it little periods of rest towards the top of the drink where the motor can more easily whip the liquid around. I have had this several months and the original battery just keeps on chuggin' even with daily use. The speed is crazy fast and makes the milk froth up so nicely. My collagen gets mixed up within seconds. I am talking 3-5 seconds at most. This little guy is an absolute MUST for anyone wanting to mix up protein powder, collagen, powdered vitamins/quercetin (which is famous for being extremely difficult to mix into orange juice.) It works that great. I seriously just love using it so much and should have bought one years ago. It is rare to buy a product that is super reasonable in cost and turns out to work really well and be worth every penny. It is also very easy to clean--a quick rinse under the faucet or a little sudsy scrub and you are good to go for the next time. I sought out this particular brand after reading another customer's review of a different brand frother. She pointed out that this brand was head and shoulders above the other types she has tried and I believe she is probably right. The "ON" button is at the top so it does not get in the way or splashed with liquid or anything. I use this with other drinks too, like to mix lemon juice with stevia sweetener into water, MSM powder into pomegranite juice, and just regular coffee with half and half to give the coffee a more luxurious mouthfeel when I do not feel like taking the time to make a latte or cappuccino. This frother is seriously the best. I wish there was a different color to select other than black but it was not a deal breaker, obviously. I would 100% purchase this again if needed.
UPDATE, 02/21/26: I have now had this little frother for ONE FULL YEAR! And I am here to say that, in my humble opinion, it has won my personal award for "Best Product Purchased For Me" for the year 2025! I use this little guy EVERY day to make a latte, and sometimes multiple times a day to mix up other drinks, and he is just chuggin' along on the same battery as the day he arrived in the mail back in February 2025. Now my husband is hooked on it too. Here are the drinks we have used it for in the past year:
- whirling up MCT oil into coffee;
- mixing baking soda, water, and flavored stevia drops (it's an emergency stomach ulcer elixir that I drink sometimes)
- frothing up raw, organic cocoa powder with milk and sugar
- my daily lattes with collagen powder
- mixing up any number of liquid vitamin tinctures that I take with water
- whipping up a teaspoon of wheatgrass powder into 2 or 3 ounces of water for a quick shot
- as stated earlier, mixing thoroughly quercetin and vitamin C powders into orange juice
I am sure I have used it for a few other drinks but these are the ones we use it for the most. I stand by my original review and opinion. This is, hands down, THE BEST MINI FROTHER!! Congratulations little frother, on winning the award for being the best purchase for me in the year 2025! I will come back here in February 2027 with a brief update on how my little frother is working 24 months from purchase.
ANOTHER UPDATE, 05/26/26: The two double AA batteries FINALLY took their last breath on May 26, 2026. The original batteries lasted a full one year and four months (and someone has used it AT LEAST once per day, every day, without fail.) Two brand new batteries went in, and I guess it must be because the batteries are 100% fresh, but I swear that now this frother is working even better than the day I got it!
