Bring a touch of timeless tropical style to your space with the Dieffenbachia 'Camilla', a stunning and popular variety of Dumb Cane. This beautiful plant is celebrated for its large, lush leaves that are a true work of art. The vibrant, creamy-yellow and white patterns create a striking variegation that spreads across the deep green foliage, giving the plant a bright and elegant appearance. As a classic houseplant, the 'Camilla' is a fantastic choice for adding a bold splash of colour and a touch of the exotic to any room.
Care Tips:
-
Light: The Dieffenbachia 'Camilla' thrives in bright, indirect light. Placing it in a spot with good light will help maintain its beautiful, vibrant variegation. Too little light may cause the patterns to fade, while direct sunlight can scorch its delicate leaves.
-
Watering: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry out before watering. When you water, do so thoroughly and let the excess drain away. This plant dislikes soggy soil, which can lead to root rot.
-
Humidity: This tropical beauty loves high humidity. To keep it looking its best, consider misting its leaves regularly or placing it near a humidifier.
-
Temperature: It prefers a warm and stable environment, ideally between 18-24°C. Be sure to protect it from cold draughts and sudden drops in temperature.
-
Soil: Use a well-draining, good quality potting mix that is rich in nutrients and allows for good aeration.
-
Fertilising: Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
With its easy-going nature and beautiful, eye-catching foliage, the Dieffenbachia 'Camilla' is a rewarding addition to any home.
