SAFETY FEATURES

A rear-facing car seat improves your child’s safety in the event of a head-on crash. In this position front impact forces are distributed across the car seat shell. It is mandatory for children to travel rear-facing until they are over 15 months old and 76 cm tall. However, CYBEX recommends that children travel rear-facing in the Sirona for as long as possible. Preferably until they outgrow the seat.

Energy Reduction Technology improves safety performance during front-facing travel. Impact forces are transmitted directly into the car seat via the harness system, where they are partially dissipated by energy-absorbing materials. This reduces the forces acting on the child’s sensitive neck by approximately 20%.

The integrated L.S.P. System increases safety in the event of a side-impact collision. In combination with the energy-absorbing shell, it can reduce the force of a side impact.

ISOFIX is a reliable way to install the car seat in your vehicle. Set-up is simple with fast one-click attachment and a load leg to anchor the seat in the vehicle. Easy-to-check indicators confirm when the seat is installed and ready to go. 

It can only be installed in cars with isofix and no underfloor storage compartment.

The Sirona Gi i-size was tested by ADAC and received a safety score of 2.1 which is considered "good". It displayed a low risk of injury in both frontal impacts and side impacts.

Cybex offer a 36 month warranty on all products from date of purchase.

During this period, Cybex may repair or replace the product if it is found by the manufacturer to be defective in material or workmanship. Warranty does not cover the effects of normal wear and tear or damages resulting from negligence, modification, improper installation, accidents, misuse or abuse of this product.

The Cybex importer in South Africa, based in Jhb South, carries the tools and imports spare parts if needed, to carry out any repairs.
