Little Leaf Fukien Tea     We have been growing this type of fukien tea now for over 19 years at the shop and absolutely love this type of bonsai for beginners. It is a tropical tree and will need protection in the winter months up north. This variety has much smaller leaves than the typical imported fukien teas, it flowers and produces berries nonstop when outside during the summer and when tree is in active growth. This does well in sun or partial shade, and appreciates slight dryness between waterings in cooler months.     This is an indicator species and should be checked for pests and treated if any are found, as we should with all bonsai. We've found safer soap as a more eco-friendly approach to work very well on any piercing/sucking insects and it doesnt hurt the bees that are attracted to the flowers all year.       This is a favorite at the shop, so if you have any questions about this variety, dont hesitate to give us an email message or call us or text us with any questions at 386-675-3118.
