Sulcorebutia Rauschii Cactus is an unusual but very eye-catching species. This is a highly variable species with several forms with light green to purple coloration and small black spines.
The stems are covered by flat tubercles, up to 1.6 inches (4 cm) tall and up to 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter.
Flowers are deep magenta, funnel-shaped, up to 2 inches (5 cm) long, and about the same diameter.
All of the plants may be shipped bare root. -
Light shade when young, full sun later ( light shadow may be useful in the hot summer days).
Water deeply only when soil is dry and let it drain completely. Reduce watering during winter.
Sand mix succulent soil, porous, and well-draining soil. - USDA Hardiness Zone 9b to 11b: from 25 °F ( -3.9 °C) to 50 °F ( +10 °C).
