Aglaonema Big Roy – A Hardy, Colorful Statement Plant
Aglaonema Big Roy is a stunning, large-leafed Aglaonema, known for its deep green foliage splashed with shades of red and pink. This easy-care, resilient houseplant thrives in low-light conditions and is a great choice for beginners.
A Regal and Colorful Foliage Showpiece
- Features bold red and pink splashes on broad, deep green leaves.
- The variegation becomes more vivid with exposure to bright, indirect light.
- A fantastic choice for large indoor planters, office spaces, or shaded patios.
Best Practices for Growing Aglaonema Big Roy
- Light: Tolerates low light but flourishes in medium to bright, indirect light.
- Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry; avoid overwatering.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to indoor environments.
- Soil: Needs a well-draining mix with organic material for best growth.
- Fertilization: Use a slow-release fertilizer every 2 months to maintain vibrant foliage.
Avoiding Common Growth Issues
- Yellowing leaves: Due to excess water—allow soil to dry slightly between waterings.
- Pale or faded foliage: Often caused by low light—move to a brighter area.
- Root rot: Ensure a well-draining potting mix and avoid stagnant water.
With its striking red and green tones, large leaf structure, and low-maintenance nature, Aglaonema Big Roy is a showstopper in any home or office.
