  • The Crocodile Fern (Microsorum musifolium) is a unique and captivating houseplant that earns its name from its distinctive foliage. The fronds possess a remarkable, rough, and deeply veined texture that vividly resembles the scaly, leathery skin of a crocodile. Typically originating from the humid, tropical environments of Southeast Asia and parts of Australia, this fern brings an exotic, textural element to any indoor collection.

Although it is a very slow grower, the Crocodile Fern can eventually reach impressive sizes, potentially growing up to 5 feet tall in ideal conditions.

Unlike many flowering plants, ferns (including the Crocodile Fern) do not produce flowers. Instead, they reproduce via spores, which appear as small, dusty spots (called sori) on the undersides of the fronds.

  • Bright, Indirect Light. Avoid direct, harsh sunlight, which can scorch the fronds. They prefer filtered light conditions.

Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Well-draining, moisture-retentive mix. A standard potting mix amended with peat moss, coconut coir, or orchid bark works well.

Warm. Thrives in ideal temperatures between 65°F – 80°F (18°C – 27°C). Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.

This plant should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with a diluted houseplant fertilizer.

Non-Toxic (Pet-Friendly). Safe for homes with pets and children.

  • Typically grown indoors, but thrives outdoors in USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11.

Solid Everyday Mouse with a Few Comfort Trade-Offs
I’ve been using this Amazon Basics 2.4 GHz wireless optical mouse as a simple, no-frills option, and overall it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Setup was instant with the USB nano receiver, tracking is accurate, and the wireless connection has been reliable with no dropouts or lag during daily use. It’s lightweight and works well for general browsing and office tasks. Where it falls a bit short for me is ergonomics. Compared to my Logitech mouse, this one doesn’t feel quite as natural or contoured in the hand during longer sessions. It’s by no means uncomfortable, just not as refined in terms of hand fit. That said, for the price and simplicity, it’s a dependable mouse that gets the job done. A solid choice if you want something basic and reliable.

Love it
I’m honestly impressed with this mouse. The Wireless Optical Mouse works exactly as it should—simple, reliable, and smooth. Setup was instant, just plug in the USB receiver and it’s ready to go. No lag or connectivity issues at all. The tracking is precise, and it feels comfortable even after long use. The battery life is solid, and I like that it goes into sleep mode to save power. It’s lightweight but still feels well-built, not cheap. For the price, this is a great value. If you need a dependable wireless mouse without overpaying for unnecessary features, this is a perfect choice.

Awesome quality mouse
Fantastic value. First it feels like a quality mouse and works like a mouse 3-4x the price. It is solid and has nice weight to it, not like some of the flimsy competitors. I am buying another just to have.

Great Mouse
I normally use the Logitech M325c. I've gone through dozens over the years. It works very well, but they seem to wear out fast; the wheel scroll is what fails. I decided to give the Amazon Basics a try. So far, it looks, feels, and functions the same as the Ltech; it doesn't have the fun colors, but if it holds up longer than a year, it's a fair tradeoff. I will revise this review if things change in the future, but as of now, I would recommend the Amazon Basics and will replace the other Ltech's when the time comes.
