How Surflan AS Pre-emergent Herbicide Works

Surflan AS Specialty Pre-emergent Herbicide contains 40 percent Oryzalin. This ingredient interferes with weeds at the cellular level, inhibiting growth and germination. Surflan must be applied before the weeds emerge from the soil; it doesn't control existing weeds. It comes in liquid form and applies easily with a sprayer to the target area.

Where to Use Surflan AS Pre-emergent Herbicide

Spray Surflan AS pre-emergent herbicide for effective weed control on established turf like Bermuda and St. Augustine. Use it to prevent weed growth around landscape and container-grown ornamentals, including the bulbs and any groundcovers. It works to stop weeds from growing and taking over Christmas tree plantations, including nonbearing fruit and nut tree sites.

Target Weeds

Surflan AS specialty pre-emergent herbicide controls annual weeds and grasses such as chickweed and barnyardgrass. It chokes bluegrass and henbit before they have a chance to grow and to compete with other plants. Some of the common target weeds and grasses include:

  • Crabgrass
  • Groundsel
  • Foxtail
  • Knotweed
  • Ryegrass
  • Sowthistle
  • Teaweed
  • Witchgrass

Reasons to Use Surflan AS Herbicide

  • Targets many different broadleaf weed and grass species
  • Contains a high concentration of the active ingredient
  • Stops weeds before they emerge from the soil
  • Easy-to-apply spray formulation
  • For use on landscape ornamentals, tree plantations and more

Surflan AS Specialty Pre-emergent for Weed Control

Stop weeds before they ruin ornamentals and other plants with Surflan AS Pre-emergent herbicide. It provides total pre-emergent weed control for numerous weed and grass species, from bluegrass to ragweed. Its effective formula prevents weeds from growing and developing seeds, thus preventing a weed infestation in areas where ornamentals and nonbearing trees are grown. If weed growth threatens planting and noncrop sites, use Surflan AS herbicide to stop annual broadleaf weeds and grasses below the soil.

KEEPS MY ENERGETIC 1 YR OLD LAB BUSY
Size: Large
Anyone that has a field Lab knows you have to keep them busy which is difficult with the snow that won’t melt and the unusual -15 degree windchills we are having in NYC. Like others I’ve wasted so much money on various toys and puzzles trying to keep her busy and mentally stimulated. She either destroys them in minutes or won’t touch them. However, these with treats inside are fantastic. She loves the chicken flavor treats that go inside the ball. The treats for the holder are pricey but worth it so it keeps her busy for a while and she doesn’t get super hyper with cabin fever. Once I can get her back outside for longer periods to play and run off her excess energy I probably won’t be buying them on a regular basis given the price and that they only last a couple of hours given her strong jaws….Probably only for a special treat. However, for now they are worth every penny. The only con is they are difficult to get into the holder which is good so she can’t remove it.

We love em!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
My dog loves these! I get a size smaller so it’s harder for him to eat. He’s 70lbs I get him the medium and it will last him 4 ish days. I also fuill the back with dog safe peanut butter, broken treats, and his food. This keeps him happy while I’m at work :) for reference he’s a gsd, and Australian shepherd mix. He never lets it get too far away, and proudly carries it along even when empty. He had one for over a year that just now started to break. They are very strong, great for chewers, and worth their weight in gold! When empty they also make them have the funniest faces🤣 again my dog had the first one for over a year before it started to rip. They are hardy.

Wrong item sent
Size: Small, Size: Small
The bento ball itself is great but the extra 16 treats that were sent as part of the purchase were the wrong kind. The picture used in the Amazon ad is the one shown in the left part of the picture I posted (dome shaped treats with a dog named Lacey in the picture), and what I received is shown in the right part of the picture (ridged treats with a dog named Bella in the picture). The problem with the Bella treats is that they are a bit smaller than the Lacey treats which means that they dont fit sugly into the bento ball. This in turn means that my little maltipoo gets them out of the bento ball in a few minutes. This defeats the whol purpose of the treat, and even worse this is a choking hazard for small dogs which makes the product unusable for me. FYI - I have never had this problem with the Lacey treats - they work great which is why I bought this product since this is what was shown in the picture. I sent a message to the vendor about this but have not heard anything back. Amazon offered to refund me half of the total purchase price if I sent back both the ball and the 7 of the 8 treat packages (I opened one only to discover this problem), which is also not great.

Fun, but short lived. Not tough enough for hard chewers
Size: Medium
Great idea. Wish it was tougher. My dog gets the branded treats out in ten minutes, and then destroys the ball in 30 minutes.

Best for my dogs
I’ve tried several coffee wood sticks for my dogs and these are by far the only ones they’ve liked and actually kept going back to! I have a terrier mix and a Pomeranian and both of them share it frequently!
