Product specification

XXL-sized modular moss pole in a unique tower design with a large 8 cm (3.1") diameter, the starter kit is comprised of a single 30 cm (12") section of moss pole, and a 15 cm (6") anchor base, meant to be buried for maximum stability.

With a unique alignment lock and screw joint method (easy to put together), this sturdy moss pole can be extended far beyond the reach of our smaller lines. It features a partially enclosed moss cage, meaning the moss within will dry out at a much slower rate.

The starter kit includes:

• 1 x 15 cm anchor base
• 1 x 30 cm pole extension
• 1 x SlowDrip cap, 750 ml volume

We have designed this modular moss pole with a sturdy anchor base that will keep your pole upright, while adapting to the diameter of your pot: this provides the most stability. 

This XXL Turra kit is quite sturdy, and suitable for most climbing plants. For young plants, check our L-sized kit, and for heavy climbers consider our XXL and D-Shaped Kits if you need a heavy-duty moss pole minus the tower.

Material

All parts are made of PLA+. PLA is a 100% bio-sourced plastic: it’s made of renewable resources such as corn or sugar cane. PLA is also biodegradable and it can be composted.

Sizing

XXL-sized modular moss pole in a unique tower design with a large 8 cm (3.1") diameter, the starter kit is comprised of a single 30 cm (12") section of moss pole, and a 15 cm (6") anchor base, meant to be buried for maximum stability. We offer moss pole kits with lengths up to 120 cm (48"), and you can increase the length further by adding extensions. 

Assembly

Each section will screw into the section below it, and small notches will allow you to align the "windows" of your tower, or alternatively, have them spiral around the tower so that the stems of your plant will follow that trail.

Add-ons & extensions

Keep growing your pole with your plant by purchasing moss pole extension kits. Additional modules can be attached without the use of any tools, with screw on joints. In the same fashion, the poles may be disassembled for cleaning and reuse if your plant doesn't take to its home.

As hydrated moss can be very heavy, our recommendation is that you use an additional brace if you extend your moss pole past 120 cm (4 units). Your plant will be very top heavy once it reaches a certain height, so consider some additional wall or hanging support to keep it from tipping. 

As an aside, each extension of 30 cm holds about 1.5 litre of hydrated moss.

Filling your moss pole

Better by far than a coco coir pole, our moss poles are best filled with sphagnum moss, which will hold much more moisture: this will benefit the plant and increase the humidity in it's environment to a greater degree.

Small print

Everything we make is printed to order and lovingly squeezed out by our 3D printers at our little workshop, so there may be slight variations and minor visual defects to your products. This is just a standard feature of the production method.
