This clump-forming plant spreads via rhizomes and is particularly suited for shady areas, and is a popular plant for shady areas and is commonly seen growing in older established suburbs particularly in California.
Some seeds may be sprouted already, which is a good sign! Brown roots should point downwards in the soil (roots appear first), and any green point sprout points upwards.
