Scientific Name
Crassula ovata ‘Variegata’ (thick-leaved plant with egg-shaped leaves, cultivar: variegated)

Synonyms: Toelkenia ovata, Cotyledon lutea, Cotyledon ovata, Crassula argentea, Crassula articulata, Crassula lucens, Crassula nitida, Crassula obliqua, Crassula portulacea

Originally described as Cotyledon ovata in 1768, this plant was identified as part of the Crassula genus in a 1917 paper, which classified it as Crassula ovata.

Common Name(s)
Variegated Jade Plant, Variegated Money Tree, Variegated Friendship Tree

Origin
This plant is native to southern Africa, especially the Cape Provinces and KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, and Mozambique

Light
Your Crassula likes a bit of sun, but can scorch in harsh midday sun. The best placement for it would be an east- or west-facing windowsill, or a little away from a south-facing window. If it's getting plenty of light in summer, you might spot a pink tint on the edges of the leaves, and the variegation will be more stable in a brighter spot. If new leaves are coming through with less white on them, your plant could probably do with more light.

Water
Let the soil totally dry between waters. When you do water, it'll need a good drench, but in between make sure it totally dries. If the soil is constantly moist, this will cause more issues for the plant than missing a water every so often will.

Humidity
This plant is adapted to dry conditions. Don't keep it anywhere damp, like a bathroom, as it could struggle.

Soil
Use a mix designed for cacti and succulents for best results; if you're mixing one yourself, adding sand, grit and perlite will help give your plant good enough drainage. Repot every 2-3 years in spring as the plant grows.

Food
Feed every couple of months in the spring/summer growing season. A diluted houseplant or cactus & succulent feed will work well. Feeding over winter is not necessary as the plant will be growing much less.

Temperature
Ideal temperature is 15-26°C; make sure it does not get colder than 12°C in winter.

Pet-safe
No, this plant is toxic if ingested, so it's best to keep out of reach of curious fingers and claws.

Sprouts Top Tips
Giving this plant the right amount of light will help keep its variegation stable and may also give you an extra touch of colour. Look out for brown spots on the leaf, though, which can be a sign of sunburn.

Did You Know?
This plant is sometimes called the 'Money Tree' thanks to its reputation for bringing luck to whoever owns it.

Great trial set. Just be careful throwing the orange one!
Style: Assorted Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Blue isn't that easy to see in the yard White charges with bright light/UV and is truly a game changer for night-time fetch. Both dogs clearly favor it. Orange is easy to see in the grass at day They're 3 different weights as well, so double trial. I prefer medium for my big dogs, though light performs well too The orange is HEAVY and unyielding. Do NOT throw it with a ball thrower. It could damage your house or knock your dog out. Seems tough though.

Boredom Buster
Color: Green
This ball has been a boredom buster lifesaver. On the first day my 15 week golden retriever puppy played with it for a good 2 hours straight. I was nervous he would immediately get bored with it but nope, he searches for it every day. It has helped with his puppy teething, he's more likely to play with this ball than come up and use my hand/arm/clothes to teethe on. The battery lasts a good amount of time and is quick to charge but I did wish it lasted a bit longer. Overall I'm very happy. We live in a top floor apartment but the noise doesn't seem to be too bad for the neighbors. It's good quality and seems durable. Edit: The velcro for the sleeve wears out within a couple uses. It keeps falling off. It was my puppies FAV thing about the toy because of the pull tag thing. So now it's ineffective for him. Not sure if there's a way to get a new sleeve or not.

One of the best dog toys I’ve bought off Amazon in a long time
Color: Green
My dog Rosie is a heavy tower so it is difficult to find balls she doesn’t destroy quickly. I came across this item on Amazon and it is honestly one of the best pet toys I’ve ever bought on Amazon. After a long day of work sometimes I come home and Rosie has a lot of energy. I turn this ball on fast mode and she has so much fun. I do worry about how much shaking in her mouth. I don’t wanna give her a headache, lol but there’s also a slow mode that you can press for the ball to slowly move around, but it’s a really good toy and I’m happy. I purchased it if you have a heavy tower, I wouldn’t worry about them breaking it because we’ve had it for a couple weeks now and she’s doing great.

Not indestructible, but dogs love it
Color: Green
My dog LOVES this toy. Unfortunately, she loves it so much she destroys it. I have now purchased FOUR of these, but if left unattended for 5 minutes, my American terrier breaks this apart. She loves it so much though, I keep buying replacements. This is a wonderful enrichment toy, but you must keep an eye on your toothy friend.
