How to Grow and Care

 

Peace Lily is an adaptable and low-maintenance houseplant. It can't be left in direct sunlight. Peace lilies prefer light partial shade, and can tolerate fluorescent lights. In fact, some have been known to thrive in rooms with no windows at all. Yellowing leaves indicate that the light is too strong, and brown leaves or streaks indicate scorching from direct sunlight. Consider placing the plant six to eight feet away from a north- or west-facing window.

If you’re wondering how often to water a peace lily, one tip is to wait for the plant to droop slightly before watering. One of the great advantages in caring for the peace lily is the fact that it sags a bit when it needs water, essentially telling you when it’s thirsty. In general, water at least once a week and keep the soil moist. Throughout the summer growing season, spritz the leaves with soft or distilled water.

Even if you you forgot to water for a while and find your plant completely depleted with fronds flat over the pot edge, water and spritz right away. You may be surprised at how quickly the peace lily revives.

Peace lilies can be sensitive to chlorine. If your municipal water system is heavily chlorinated, fill a container with water and then allow it to stand overnight so the chlorine can percolate out before pouring into the peace lily.

The plant should also be fed regularly with liquid fertilizer throughout the growing season.

Independent and Transparent ink refill reservoirs means no more replacing tri-color cartridge when only 1 of three is depleted. Much less ink waste! First print was a full multi-color page and didn't see ink get sucked up like a water spout; and it printed really, really fast and great color brilliance and and and... I'm so glad I spent the extra on this for my home use. I might even start printing photos for framing again. Set up was a touch time consuming (30 minutes? ) but very well instructed via the mobile app. Most of the time was just waiting for the ink to get into the printer - I think around 8 minutes?. Typically I hate that everyone wants you to download an app. I think this one was worth it. Fun extra print features. Usually I think all that is really dumb but this stuff is actually useful.

Good Printer Imposible Instructions.
Style: All-in-One Printer
Received the printer yesterday and began the process of setting it up. First I needed to download the software and drivers. That's when the pain began. I understand wireless printers and shared network printers. In this case, I wanted to connect the printer to our home wireless network so different computers could access it. The User's Guide spends a little time on a "Wireless Direct" setup where you connect your computer wirelessly directly to the printer, but little time on a LAN printer setup. After loading all the software and drivers, I finally got the printer connected to my LAN, but it took a number of false starts and trial and errors to get the printer on the LAN to be visible to my laptop. There are essentially zero instructions about this in the user's guide. Eventually I got it to print on my laptop. Then I needed to hook it up to my wife's laptop. Again, no instructions on connecting multiple computers to the printer over a LAN. I did know enough to "share" the printer in the printer settings. I eventually installed the complete software and driver package on wife's laptop. When trying to connect wirelessly, I kept getting error codes. After a few hours, I defaulted to the USB cable installation method. Now I could at least complete the installation without errors. When I went to the list of printers on the laptop I saw the epson, but it said "offline". I think that's because what I was seeing was the USB instance of the printer, not the LAN version. I finally went to Device Manager and found a second instance of the epson printer marked "Network". I was able to make this the default and the printer would now print from both laptops. Only about 3 hours more to get a second laptop to print. Since the Epson EP 2400 is a home printer and likely to be set up for wireless operation, it should take a visit by the Geek squad to get it up and running. Epson should be ashamed of their manual and instructions. Now that it's working, it does seem to print well although a bit slow.
