Philodendron Minarum can be characterized by its large, mottled leaves varying in different shades of green. Juvenile leaves are shaped differently from mature specimen that will produce mask-shaped foliage. Sometimes referred to as the Philodendron Lime Fiddle, P. Minarum is an easy-going Philodendron plant that will tolerate most household conditions. However, we always recommend bright indirect lighting along with increased humidity levels and well-draining grow medium to emulate its natural environment as closely as possible. This tropical aroid does best in warmer climates and should be kept away from colder areas and drafts. Like other rare aroids, Philodendron Minarum will appreciate an environment that is richer in humidity, if possible. Philodendron tend to be mildly toxic and should be planted with care in households that have pets and children.

In the wild, Philodendron are fantastic climbers and will appreciate a sturdy moss pole to climb on and traverse. When provided with optimal conditions, Philodendron put out aerial roots that may be air-layered for safe propagation once mature. Pruning does not need to be frequent, but older leaves or foliage with visible damage can be removed to encourage new growth.
