  • Peperomia 'Ripple Red' is a cultivar of Peperomia caperata, commonly known as the Emerald Ripple Peperomia or Radiator Plant. It is a small, mounding evergreen perennial belonging to the Piperaceae family. The species Peperomia caperata is native to the rainforests of Brazil.

The most striking feature is its dense mound of deeply corrugated or "rippled" heart-shaped leaves. The coloration is what gives it the "Red" in its name: the leaves are typically a deep, dark green or purplish-green on the top, with a rich, vibrant red, purple, or burgundy hue on the undersides and stems. This contrasting color, combined with the distinctive, heavily textured surface, makes it a unique and elegant addition to any collection.

Slow-growing with a compact, mounding habit. It generally stays small (around 6-12 inches tall and wide) and does not require frequent repotting.

  • Bright, Indirect Light is ideal to maintain the vibrant red/purple color and compact growth. It tolerates medium light, but the colors may be less intense.

Water with caution. Allow the top 1 to 2 inches (or about 50%) of the soil to dry out between waterings. The thick leaves store water, making the plant sensitive to overwatering.

Requires a loose, well-draining potting mix. A standard houseplant mix amended with perlite, sand, or a cactus/succulent mix is perfect.

Great for semi-experienced looking to build on knowledge.
Format: Paperback
Fantastic instructional manual if you already have some basic knowledge of anchors, ropework and climbing technique. It is written as an instructional manual for climbers looking to turn into guides so if you're brand new this probably isn't the best option for you.

Excellent, straightforward information about how to stay safe at the crag. Every guy who's put his hand on a rock has an opinion about how to set anchors, belay, etc -- this book gives you the answers on how to do things the right way. Spend the 10 or 15 bucks and read the book. It might save your life.
