Florida 501 Oat Seed is out of stock for the season due to a limited crop. Check out Coker 227 Oat Seed here. Call our office with any questions (800-552-1027). Florida 501 Oats were developed by the North Florida Experimental Station with the intention of creating the best cold season forage for livestock and other animals in the southern United States. Planting during early Fall also leads to great hay turnout.~~~
Florida 501 Oats Seed is a great source of Fall and Winter forage for cattle, horses, goats, sheep, and food plots for deer. Oats are a nutritious and palatable forage, used for cattle feed stock, hay production, horses and dairy milk production.

Product Information

  • Germination Time: 5 - 7 days, under optimal conditions
  • Growing Locations: Warm Season & Transition Zone
  • Height: 2 - 3 feet
  • Sunlight Requirements: 8+ hours, full sun for best results
  • Advantages: Nutritious and extremely palatable forage.
  • When to Plant: Recommended planting time is fall and spring when night time temperatures are consistently below 65 degrees.

Oats planted for cattle forage are commonly planted with Winter Rye Grain, Winter Rye Grass and Rape, Turnip, Radish or Kale. Oats planted in food plots for deer and other wildlife can be planted with winter legumes such as Clover, Winter Peas and brassicas such as Radish, Rape, Turnip or Kale.

Florida 501 Oats are great for hay production, and should be planted in the early Fall for hay.

Florida 501 was released during 1968 by the North Florida Experimental Station in Quincy. This oat variety matures early and is best adapted to the Coastal Plains. It is resistant to Victoria blight, moderately resistant to soil-borne mosaic, and exhibits some tolerance to barley yellow dwarf virus. Florida 501 is susceptible to leaf blotch, prevalent races of crown rust and stem rust. In the absence of crown rust, Florida 501 gives high yields of good quality yellow grain. It is a good grazing oat with wide leaves and good tillering ability.

From Puppy Teething to Adult Favorite – 7 Years Later
Color: Teething Stick, Color: Teething Stick
This has been one of the best toys I’ve ever bought! My dog has loved the Pupstages Cool Teething Stick since she was a tiny puppy, and now at 7 years old, it’s still one of her absolute favorites. It’s been amazing for soothing teething when she was little, and now she still enjoys chewing on it and carrying it around. It’s held up surprisingly well over the years, especially considering how much use it’s gotten. I also love that you can cool it for extra relief—it really helped during those puppy stages. If you’re looking for a toy that lasts and actually becomes a long-term favorite, this is definitely it. Highly recommend for both puppies and even older dogs who still love a good chew! 🐶

My puppy loves it
Color: Teething Stick
It's cute and a good size for my chihuahua puppy. It seems to be slightly tearing at the seam in the middle, but hopefully it will hold up.

LOVE this tough toy! My teething puppy is still enjoying it!
Color: Hedgehog
LOVE the hedgehog! Very tough! My dachshund has not been able to chew off any of the 'nubs', and does she try! lol The only thing is, the first thing she did was chew off the nose, but I discarded it and watched her closely to make sure she didn't chew off any more, and no, its still being chewed on. Wish I could find more toys like this one!!
