Mint Julep Geranium (Pelargonium 'Mint Julep')

Mint Julep Geranium is a foliage-forward, fragrant geranium that adds a fresh, easygoing feel to patios, porches, and sunny windows. It is grown for its aromatic leaves, which release a pleasant scent when brushed, making it a great choice for spaces you actually live in. The plant fills out quickly, looks good even between blooms, and is simple to keep tidy with light trimming. If you want a geranium you can enjoy with more than just flowers, Mint Julep is a great pick.

Distinctive Features

This scented geranium is valued for its refreshing fragrance and attractive, textured foliage that creates a full look in containers. The scent is strongest when leaves are touched or warmed by sun, adding a subtle sensory element to seating areas and walkways. Small flowers may appear, but the main appeal is the foliage, fragrance, and the relaxed, cottage-style character it brings to mixed planters. It can also be overwintered indoors in a bright window and enjoyed year after year with simple grooming.

Growing Conditions

  • Sun: Full sun to part sun, with bright light supporting the best growth and strongest fragrance.
  • Soil: Well-drained potting mix or garden soil, and avoid consistently wet conditions.
  • Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry, and do not allow pots to stay soggy.
  • USDA Zones: 10 to 11, typically grown as an annual in colder climates.
  • Growth Habit: Bushy, branching plant grown primarily for aromatic foliage.

Ideal Uses

  • Focal Point: Place in a patio pot where the foliage can be brushed and enjoyed for fragrance.
  • Sensory Gardens: Add near paths or seating areas where scent and texture enhance the experience.
  • Mixed Containers: Use as a fragrant filler that adds softness and greenery between flowering accents.
  • Sunny Windows: Overwinter indoors as a fragrant houseplant in a bright window.

Low Maintenance Care

  • Watering: Let soil dry slightly between waterings, and avoid overwatering to prevent root issues.
  • Pruning: Trim stems to shape and encourage bushier growth, especially if plants get leggy.
  • Feeding: Feed lightly during the growing season to support steady foliage growth.
  • Overwintering: Bring indoors before frost and keep in bright light with reduced watering.

Why Choose Mint Julep Geranium?

  • Fresh Fragrance: Aromatic leaves add a clean, inviting scent to patios and containers.
  • Foliage Interest: Textured greenery looks good even when flowers are not the main focus.
  • Easy to Shape: Responds well to trimming for a neat, full habit.
  • Great for Reuse: Can be overwintered indoors and enjoyed again the next season.

Mint Julep Geranium is a great choice when you want a plant that adds fragrance, texture, and everyday enjoyment to your space. Give it bright light, well-drained soil, and moderate watering, and it will stay full and attractive through the season. In containers outdoors or in a sunny window indoors, it brings a fresh, lived-in charm that is hard to beat.

Amazing read!!
Format: Kindle
Where to begin. I loved this book. The characters had a way of pulling you in and making you holding your breath at the same time. I absolutely loved the fmc. Eva has a way of being vulnerable but strong. She is unwilling to give up. The mmc’s are truly horrible at the beginning. With that being said, I still found myself rooting for them. Over time you could them changing and how even when they wanted to hate her they just couldn’t find it in them. A truly remarkable love came from a terrible beginning. Loved it!

Not bad but read better omegaverse
Format: Kindle
Mmm. I have feelings. Some not good. Some good. It was an ok read. I've been on a omegaverse kick for awhile now. Love me some groveling alphas but this wasn't it. Actually there wasn't enough groveling and the fmc gave in WAY too quickly. They all have f'ed childhood. The alphas, Dorian, Rafe and Cade met at an orphanage that did unspeakable things to them until Dorian and Rafe aged out at 18 and had ti wait a few years until they could "adopt" Cade, who was 3 years younger than them. They all become successful entrepreneur of sort, I think. They created an app called HeatLink. The fmc, Eva, was sold to the pack by her horrible, abusing father. She endured just as much hardship. She is relentless with escaping the pack but she always gave in when they got too near. Like she couldn't keep her legs closed. She hates them but gave in everytime. I found her kind of weak in that sense. The overall plot was fine. Didn't leave me yearning to read the next page. I did clock one of the identity of someone quickly though. Don't want to spoil it. Again, I've read better omegaverse books. The one good thing about the book is one of the lines from Cade on page 218: ""Please Eva. I'm sorry." She staggered back and I followed her on my knees, dragging myself. I didn't care. I just wanted her to hold me."" I'll admit, I melted a little bit for Cade, even though he was probably the worse a-hole out of the bunch.

Good Groveling!
Format: Kindle
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 This was really good! Definitely a dark romance! The plot was really good and was done well. I enjoyed the character development but I did wish the FMC told her pack she loved them at the end. Overall I would recommend this to readers who like bully romances and groveling! 💖

it went on too long…
Format: Kindle
At first it was a good read and I was really into it then it got to be a little to much with every page being more about how “slick” she was or about constant sex… I like spice don’t get me wrong but this was just a little too much after a while and the plot was lost. I also felt like the ending was weird and awkward it was just a good build up to fall flat

very cute
Format: Kindle
This was a great winter read with grovel! I love that each MMC took his own approach to groveling, and that the FMC didn’t forgive them easily.
