Germination Guide

▼

Seed Preparation

Contents: 4 fresh, viable seeds. Pre-treatment: Soak seeds in warm water for 48–72 hours to soften the seed coat and promote faster sprouting. Change water daily to prevent fermentation and maximize germination potential.

Sowing Medium

Use a blend of 50% coarse sand or perlite and 50% cocopeat or quality germination substrate. Ensure free drainage to prevent root rot during the germination stage. Excellent drainage is essential for healthy seed development.

Planting Depth

Plant each seed approximately 2–3 cm deep. Lightly cover with medium and maintain evenly moist conditions without overwatering. Ensure consistent moisture for optimal germination success.

Temperature & Humidity

Optimal Range: 28–32°C for best germination results. Humidity: Keep medium humidity (70–80%) using a plastic cover or mini-greenhouse setup. Provide ventilation weekly to prevent fungal development.

Watering & Light

Keep the substrate moist but not soggy. Overwatering slows germination and can cause fungal issues. Use a spray or misting bottle for controlled moisture application. Provide bright, indirect light initially; gradually introduce stronger light as seedlings emerge and develop.

Germination Timeline & Transplanting

Typical germination occurs within 1–4 months, sometimes longer depending on ambient temperature and moisture stability. Once seedlings form their first true leaves, transplant them into individual containers with a rich, well-draining mix. Handle carefully to avoid damaging the tender taproot.

Plant Care Guide

Light Requirements

Young Plants: Prefer bright, filtered sunlight until acclimated. Mature Palms: Thrive in full sun for optimal trunk color, crown development, and overall vigor. Gradual transition from shade to sun prevents leaf scorching.

Soil Requirements

Prefers deep, fertile, and slightly moist soil with excellent drainage. A blend of sand, loam, and organic compost is ideal for vigorous growth and healthy root development. Avoid compacted or poorly draining soils.

Watering & Fertilization

Water: Provide consistent watering during the growing season. Do not allow soil to dry out completely, but avoid standing water around the roots. Fertilize: Use a balanced palm fertilizer (e.g., 12-4-12 + Mg + Mn) every 2–3 months during active growth to maintain lush leaves and a healthy trunk.

Temperature & Hardiness

Roystonea borinquena thrives best in warm climates between 20–35°C. It tolerates short periods of cool weather down to about 5°C but should be protected from frost to ensure healthy growth and development.

Pruning, Maintenance & Container Growing

Pruning: This palm naturally sheds old fronds as it matures. Remove only brown or damaged leaves near the base to maintain a clean appearance. Container Growing: Young plants are well-suited for large containers for decorative use on patios and courtyards. Repot every 2–3 years to allow for root development and refresh soil nutrient content.

Pests & Diseases

Roystonea borinquena is generally resistant to pests, but occasionally monitor for scale insects and mealybugs. Use neem oil or insecticidal soap if necessary. Maintain good cultural practices including proper watering and air circulation to prevent disease issues.

Great quality chair, regardless of price.

Great quality chair, regardless of the price, period. So well packaged that it took almost as long to unwrap as assemble. Assembly was easy (loved the Allen wrench with sturdy handle). I am 6'2" and the fit and height adjustments work well for my height. Comfort is personal, so I like the semi-firmness of the seat. While the chair is constructed of heavy gauge plastic the base is solid metal with enamel finish: I love the look. The arm rests line up perfectly to my computer keyboard. I expect many, many years of service.

Great Value for a Comfortable Home Office Chair
Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1, Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1
I’ve been using this chair for a couple of days now, and honestly, it’s been a solid upgrade from my old one. I work from home most days, so comfort matters a lot—and this chair delivers better than I expected for the price. The first thing I noticed was the lumbar support. It’s actually adjustable and makes a noticeable difference, especially if you tend to sit for long stretches. My lower back used to get sore after a few hours, but that hasn’t really been an issue since switching to this chair. The mesh back is also a nice touch—it keeps things breathable, which I didn’t think I’d care about until I had it. Assembly was pretty straightforward. Took me maybe 20–25 minutes without any frustration. Everything lined up well, and the instructions were clear enough. In terms of comfort, the seat is firm but not hard. It doesn’t feel like one of those super plush chairs, but I actually prefer that because it feels more supportive over time. The reclining feature is smooth, and I like that you can lean back a bit when you need a break. Overall, I’d say this is a great value for a home office setup. If you want something ergonomic and comfortable without spending a fortune, this chair is definitely worth considering.

Excellent Office Chair
Color: Black+white, Size: Pack of 1
I just received my TRALT Office Chair. First of all, I was impressed with the packaging of this item. When I opened the box each piece of the chair was wrapped in plastic or bubble wrap. Everything in the box arrived safely and without damage. Secondly, the instructions to assemble the chair were very each to follow. I was impressed with the Allen wrench which had a handle attached to it. This made screwing in the screws very easy. I was able to assemble the chair without any difficulty. Lastly, the look of the chair and the comfort is exceptional. I ordered the black/white chair which looks amazing. The comfort of the chair is really excellent. My back is supported by the lumbar seat and having the armrests being able to go up when not needed is wonderful. The quality of the chair is definitely worth the price.

a good choice
Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1, Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1
Assembled chair only to find that the lift cylinder was faulty. Would have preferred to be able to just get a replacement cylinder but calling China didn't seem like a viable option. Guessing which one & buying it online would involve paying for a good portion of what the chair cost. Customer service could only offer a replacement or refund. We're disassembling (so much fun?!) to send it back. The chair itself was very comfortable, assembled fairly easily and instructions pretty clear. Again, if we could only have asked the seller for the replacement part......**Update**...Or if the instructions that seemed so clear were clearer!, as we started to disassemble, we decided to see what would happen if the tension knob (see photo) was loosened. IT ALLOWED THE LIFT CYLINDER TO WORK. Not at all what the instructions say. At any rate, we're keeping the chair.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely love this chair! It was super easy to assemble—I had it set up in no time with clear instructions and minimal effort. The comfort level is fantastic; the seat cushion is just right and the back support makes it great for longer sitting sessions. The color is beautiful in person—clean, modern, and adds a fresh pop to the room without being overwhelming. I also really like the smooth wheels and sturdy build; it feels stable and well-made. Overall, this is a great combination of style, comfort, and value. Highly recommend!
