Love plants, but struggle to keep them alive? This beautiful and highly accessible book offers in-depth guides to ensure you have healthy houseplants.

'It's one thing to see amazing indoor plant images on Insta and another thing altogether to make it happen at home. The Plant Book is your perfect guide, an instruction manual that holds your hand and leads you through the challenges of becoming a competent plant parent. Tammy will help you get a good report card at plant parent-teacher night.' - Costa Georgiadis

'As a nervous indoor plant grower, I'll be keeping this book close at all times!' - Hannah Moloney

Award-winning horticulturist and Gardening Australia presenter Tammy Huynh covers the essentials of indoor plant care in this stunning book featuring an abundance of colourful photos and illustrations.

Many plant parents are frustrated by conflicting advice online, or simply don't know why they keep ending up with plant casualties. With this book, you can finally discover what each plant needs to thrive, the common problems they face and their remedies.

The Plant Book cuts through the noise with clear information that will help you grow and nurture healthy, resilient indoor plants. Tammy has selected the 50 most-loved houseplants and for each profile she offers:

  • a detailed description
  • icons to indicate ideal care conditions
  • a list of cultivars
  • a list of common problems for that specific plant with photos to help you visually recognise and diagnose plant issues.

In addition, the 'Houseplants 101' chapter covers general tips on lighting, potting mix, watering, fertiliser, humidity, pests and diseases, buying plants, hydroponics, and pots and planters. There's a heavy focus on troubleshooting with diagnostic flow charts, allowing you to identify and resolve plant problems, even for species not covered in the book.

The Plant Book will empower you to confidently spot and solve your plant problems, so we can all become super plant parents and avoid further plant casualties.

Author Bio:
Tammy Huynh is a qualified horticulturist and passionate plant woman. She's been in the horticultural industry for over a decade, but her love of plants started when she was young, pottering about the garden with her maternal grandmother. For her grandma, a Vietnamese-Chinese refugee, gardening was a means of survival, not a pastime. Fresh out of university, Tammy landed her first job as an assistant magazine editor for Better Homes and Gardens and helped her parents cultivate an edible bamboo farm at the same time. She then did a short stint at Yates, before leaving in 2018 to start her own business, Leaf an Impression. This led to a guest presenter slot on TVSN, and eventually Gardening Australia in 2022, before she formally joined the team in 2023. Tammy's focus is indoor plants and small spaces, but her love of gardening extends beyond these areas. She was awarded the Horticulturist of the Year by the Australian Institute of Horticulture in 2021.

The Chuck Norris of Dog Toys
Color: Orange
If dog toys were superheroes, the Nevperish K9 Training Ball would be Batman—indestructible, effective, and always ready to save the day. This thing flies. I’m not saying I could take out a rogue squirrel in a single throw, but… let’s just say those little guys know to keep their distance now. My 100lb German Shepherd, who we affectionately call "The Toy Terminator," has destroyed every squeaky, chewy, or bouncy thing in her path. But this? This glorious, rope-swinging masterpiece? She’s met her match. It’s like her teeth have signed a peace treaty with this toy. Speaking of flying, if you have neighbors with a backyard that’s less than a football field away, be prepared for some fence-hopping cardio. I’ve had more awkward encounters with my neighbors than I care to admit. Thankfully, my shepherd has learned the art of the double hop—over their fence and back—like some four-legged ninja gymnast. Bonus: great entertainment for the neighbors. This toy isn’t just a ball on a rope; it’s a lifestyle. Open fields? Perfect. Tug-of-war? Immaculate. Backyard fetch? A cinematic masterpiece. It’s basically the Swiss Army knife of dog toys, minus the danger of accidental stabbing. Pro tip: Don’t underestimate how far this thing can go. My first throw ended with the ball in orbit—or maybe it just bounced off a satellite. Either way, my dog was thrilled, and now I need an arm warm-up routine before playtime. So, if you want a toy that’ll outlast your dog’s dental fury and make fetch sessions the stuff of legend, this is it. 10/10, would absolutely get weird looks from neighbors again.

One Tough Ball!
Color: Blue
Our dogs are loving this ball. Our 1 yr old hound is a world-class chewer and he can't make a dent in this ball. The interactive buzzing and bouncing keeps them entertained for long durations. It's a mite noisy but the barking from the 1 yr old is much louder, lol. Even turned off, they like playing with it and chewing on it. Based on the tough construction, we think it will last much longer than traditional chew balls.
