Philodendron 'Autumn' plants are a beautiful hybrid philodendron, known for the rich, coppery-red color of new leaves. The copper-red fades to a dark olive green as the leaves mature. This plant loves partial to indirect sunlight, and brighter indirect light sources will encourage an exotic display of rich coppery colors.

These tropical philodendrons prefer an organic and well-draining soil that will keep the roots evenly moist. Mature plants will grow to 3 to 4 feet tall and wide if given the space. Philodendron Autumn plants are ideal for indoor spaces, or for shaded patios in places with mild winters (as long as they can come inside during the cold).

The root system in a Philodendron Autumn is versatile and resilient. If you are going to re-pot your autumn philodendron from its growers' pot, make sure to do so a little while after it has arrived, and stay close to the size of the grower's pot it arrived in. That way it has time to acclimate to its new environment after shipping. Re-pot with sandy loose soil, such as a cactus or an orchid soil mix.

Philodendron plants are native to Central America. Plants are grown in Florida or Texas often, so they prefer warmer temperatures, higher humidities, and partially shaded light conditions. Ten months in and I have barely made a dent in this tub. This is the best, most luxurious lotion I have ever used. And the only lotion that I can even stand to be on my skin. I started Accutane (for acne) last year and was told that my skin would dry out horribly and that I needed to find a good moisturizer to limit the peeling and cracking that I would inevitably experience. It will last for days too. No need to reapply because it has soaked in to your skin and doesn't just sit on the surface. My skin has never been this soft. And here I am, nearly 9 months in to my Accutane medication regimen and I am not flaking or peeling. In fact, my skin has never looked better or more healthy. My doctors are shocked at how my skin has stayed moisturized because nearly everyone peels. And it doesn't break you out which is obviously something super important. Now, could I be an anomoly? Maybe, but I don't think so. I honestly think this lotion is Just. That. Good! The price isn't bad either!
