Xerochrysum bracteatum ‘Firebrand’ Strawflower brings bold, sunset-orange color to your cutting garden—and keeps it coming long after the season ends. These eye-catching blooms open with deep orange “petals” (papery bracts) surrounding bright yellow centers, creating a fiery, high-impact look in beds, borders, and bouquet rows. While strawflowers take their time to bloom, this variety is truly worth the wait: once it starts flowering, you’ll have crisp, long-lasting stems for fresh arrangements and picture-perfect dried bouquets.
With tall, upright, non-branching plants and sparse foliage, ‘Firebrand’ is easy to tuck into a dedicated cut-flower patch or mix into sunny ornamental plantings. The stems are ideal for harvesting—straight, sturdy, and made for vases. Grow a generous stand and you’ll have plenty to cut, share, and dry for wreaths, garlands, everlasting posies, and winter decor.

Did You Know?
Strawflowers are often called “everlasting flowers” because the colorful parts you see are papery bracts—not true petals—so they dry naturally on the stem and keep their shape and color for months.
