In spring, the Mexican Tree Ocotillo bursts into vibrant, tubular red or orange flowers, which bloom along the tips of its branches, attracting pollinators like hummingbirds. The plant is drought-tolerant and thrives in hot, arid conditions, often growing in rocky or sandy soils. During dry periods, the plant may shed its leaves, conserving water, and will sprout new foliage quickly after rainfall.
