Enjoy vibrant color and garden-fresh flavor with Sweet Banana Pepper Seeds from Survival Garden Seeds. This heirloom Capsicum annuum variety produces long, slender yellow peppers with a mild, sweet taste and crisp texture—perfect for fresh eating, pickling, or stuffing. As the fruits mature, they shift beautifully from yellow to orange to deep red, adding both visual appeal and culinary versatility to your garden.

Sweet Banana Peppers thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, producing generous harvests across USDA zones 4–11. Plants grow quickly and reliably, reaching about 24–30 inches tall and continuing to bear fruit throughout the warm season. Early harvests offer a gentle tang, while fully ripened peppers deliver maximum sweetness and color.

Sweet, Productive, and Easy to Grow:

  • Mild, crisp flavor ideal for pickling, stuffing, or slicing fresh
  • Long, 6–8 inch fruits that ripen from yellow to orange to red
  • High-yield, heirloom variety that produces all season long
  • Matures in 65–75 days from transplant
  • Great for salads, sandwiches, and preserving

Why Gardeners Love Sweet Banana Peppers:

  • Non-GMO, open-pollinated, and untreated heirloom seeds
  • Reliable yields and strong performance in home gardens
  • Suitable for raised beds, containers, or garden rows
  • Beginner-friendly and ideal for small or large gardens alike
  • Excellent for long-term food storage and preservation

How to Grow:

  • Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before your last frost date.
  • Maintain soil temperatures around 75–85°F for best germination (7–14 days).
  • Transplant outdoors once frost danger has passed and soil is warm.
  • Space plants 18–24 inches apart in full sun with consistent watering.
  • Harvest at the yellow stage for tangy sweetness or red for full flavor.

My dog freakin’ LOVES this
Favorite toy of my dog. He’s a heavy chewer - and yes, he’s chewed the tail off and one of the ears - but he carries it around all the time - plays with it all the time - even sleeps with it. And it has held up for months. I’m getting another one just to have as a backup as I don’t think he can live without it. Also love that the eyes are embroidered and not plastic so he won’t accidentally swallow them. Best toy ever.

Finally!
I search constantly for toys without a squeaker and never seem to find one. My curious pup loves ripping them out so I stay away from them. But finally one that he loves but has no interest in tearing apart because it has no squeaker!! Win!

Squeakerless
It is very life like. Held up well but is starting to show some wear after 6 months. I attempting to repair a couple of holes that have shown up. The sqeakerless is nice but would love a noiseless squeaker. I would give 5 stars if I can patch the holes.

Almost 2 years now! Super strong and the puppers loves it. NO SQUEAKER!!!! YAY
Nov 2022 marks 2 years it's now near Oct 2022 unless this thing completely falls apart in the next month it's gonna easily make 2 years. I honestly see this going 3-4 years. There is little damage still. Just a tear near the ear that isn't spreading and the tail is still showing the tiny amount of white. This thing is a beast! Video is from almost Oct 2022. 1 year and 2 months on (last three pics are of it currently) and it's still holding up nearly perfectly. Bought this in Nov of 2020 Jan 2022 it's still around while all other toys are destroyed. This is completely worth every single penny. 6 month update: See pictures for the only damage to the toy so far. Note the tail is the place my girl tends to offer me to grab. She also gnaws on that area and the ears. The one ear has fur missing now. Eyes are still good to go as they are stitched rather than separate plastic eyes. However for 6 months of dog abuse, I'd say the toy is holding up quite well. I feel I'll get close to a year out of it maybe a bit more or less. The pupper girl always destroys her toys. This one has lasted quite a while compared to the others. I don't see this falling apart for a while. I believe we may get a year or more out of it. Well worth the price!
